The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) poses an unprecedented challenge to health and epidemic prevention system, especially the healthcare of patients with cancer. We sought to study the impact of COVID-19 on lung cancer patients in our center.
We initiated a retrospectively study to analyze the impact of COVID-19 on lung cancer patients in our center, who were accepted for routine anticancer treatment before the epidemic and planned to return to hospital in January and February of 2020.
A total of 161 cases of lung cancer were included in the final analysis. As of April 15, 95 patients had delayed their return visit, and 47 cases were finally designated as having delayed admission during the epidemic and having to discontinue or delay their regular anticancer treatments. Of these 47 delayed patients, 33 were evaluated for tumor status using a computed tomography scan, 6 of these 33 cases (18.18%) were diagnosed as progressive disease (PD), and 5 cases did not return for visit.
This is the first study investigating impact of COVID-19 on non-COVID-19 lung cancer patients during the pandemic. The study demonstrates the significant impact of the COVID-19 crisis on oncological care, indicating the need for appropriate change of treatment decisions and continued follow-up and psycho-oncological support during this pandemic.

The purpose of this study was to use kinematic gait analysis, to evaluate the clinically curative effects of minimally invasive needle-knife scope therapy in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) of the knee joint.
A total of 32 patients with RA of the knee joint were treated with minimally invasive needle-knife scope therapy. All patients were assessed with a kinematic gait analysis system, and then analyzed and compared the measurements with the kinematic gait performances of 28 healthy middle-aged and elderly participants.
Before receiving the therapy, the ranges of motion (ROMs) of the patients' tibial inward and outward rotation, flexion and extension, anterior and posterior displacement of the tibia, and tibial upward and downward movement were all smaller than those of the healthy middle-aged and elderly group (P<0.05). After receiving the therapy, the patients' knees had a remarkably larger ROM. After one month of this therapy, they had a noticeably greater ROM in flexion and extension, and thus may become a new means to assess the changes in knee joint functions.
Minimally invasive needle-knife scope therapy enables a good recovery of function for patients with RA and remarkably improves the DOF of knees. Gait analyses are more objective, accurate, and quantitative than other indexes, and thus may become a new means to assess the changes in knee joint functions.
The study aimed to confirm the important role of ozone autologous blood therapy (autohemotherapy) in promoting successful finger replantation and its possible influence mechanism.
A total of 150 patients with severed finger replantation admitted to our hospital from March 2018 to March 2019 were selected. Patients were divided into observation group and control group according to different treatment methods. The observation group received additional ozone autologous blood treatment in the control group. We compared the number of white blood cells, visual analogue scale (VAS) scores, and the expression levels of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β), and platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) in the two groups of patients before and after intervention. We also assessed the hospitalization time and survival time of the replanted finger in the two groups, as well as blood flow values (Vbcf).
Compared with the observation group on the 1st day after the operation and also improves the microcirculation after anastomosis of the severed finger by up-regulating the expression of VEGF, TGF-β and PDGF in blood.
Intervention with ozone autohemotherapy after severed finger replantation can significantly increase the number of white blood cells, relieve postoperative pain, and improve the survival rate of the finger body. Ozone autohemotherapy also improves the microcirculation after anastomosis of the severed finger by up-regulating the expression of VEGF, TGF-β and PDGF in blood.
In recent years, disasters occurred frequently all over the world, and the role of nurses in public health emergencies and disaster emergencies was highlighted under the background of the covid19 epidemic. However, there was a lack of education and evaluation. Our study aims to cross-cultural adapt the Nurses' Perceptions of Disaster Core Competencies Scale (NPDCC) and evaluate the reliability and validity of the Chinese version.
We translated the scale following the translation-integration-back translation-expert review procedure, adapted according to Chinese culture. We evaluated the reliability and validity of the scale, and a total sample of 911 nurse data from the Yangtze River Delta Regional Nursing Alliance Hospital was gathered.
The Chinese version of NPDCC included 45 items, 5 factors (critical thinking skills, special diagnostic skills, general diagnostic skills, technical skills, and communication skills) were extracted from the analysis, which could explain the 68.289% of the total variance. The content validity index was 0.925. The Cronbach's α of the total NPDCC score was 0.978, and 0.884-0.945 for every factor. Cabozantinib The split-half for the scale was 0.930, and every factor was 0.861-0.894.
The Chinese version of NPDCC has excellent reliability and validity, and it is suitable to measure nurses' perceptions of disaster core competencies in China. The next step is to promote the application in a large scale.
