Unlike conventional street lighting, SMART elements are powered 24/7. Due to the electronic character of the power part of such mass appliances, there are increased problems with the power quality of the electric energy. Compared to the current concept of street lighting, there is a significant increase in the content of higher current harmonic components, which cause several problems in the distribution system. The test polygon contains 16 luminaires made by various manufacturers and mounted with various SMART components. Using the polygon control and monitoring system, dynamic load scenarios were selected. These scenarios tested the possibilities of different adaptive current control strategies for three-phase shunt active power filters to improve the power quality of electricity. This study focuses on three adaptive algorithms that respond to dynamic changes of current harmonics level in real-time. The possibility of active filter control was tested using FPGA, mainly due to the low latency of the filter control part.A survey on 120 cereal samples (barley, maize, rice and wheat) from Algerian markets has been carried out to evaluate the presence of 15 mycotoxins (ochratoxin A, deoxynivalenol, fumonisin B1 and B2, T-2 and HT-2 toxins, zearalenone, fusarenon X, citrinin, sterigmatocystin, enniatins A, A1, B and B1, and beauvericin). With this purpose, a QuEChERS-based extraction and ultra-high performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) were used. Analytical results showed that 78 cereal samples (65%) were contaminated with at least one toxin, while 50% were contaminated with three to nine mycotoxins. T-2 toxin, citrinin, beauvericin and deoxynivalenol were the most commonly found mycotoxins (frequency of 50%, 41.6%, 40.8% and 33.3%, respectively). Fumonisins (B1 + B2), enniatins B and B1, deoxynivalenol and zearalenone registered high concentrations (289-48878 µg/kg, 1.2-5288 µg/kg, 15-4569 µg/kg, 48-2055 µg/kg and 10.4-579 µg/kg, respectively). Furthermore, concentrations higher than those allowed by the European Union (EU) were observed in 21, 8 and 1 samples for fumonisins, zearalenone and deoxinivalenol, respectively. As a conclusion, the high levels of fumonisins (B1 + B2) in maize and deoxynivalenol, zearalenone and HT-2 + T-2 toxins in wheat, represent a health risk for the average adult consumer in Algeria. These results pointed out the necessity of a consistent control and the definition of maximum allowed levels for mycotoxins in Algerian foodstuffs.Antimicrobial immune response is mediated by a signal-transducing sensor, peptidoglycan recognition protein-SA (PGRP-SA), that can recognize non-self molecules. Although several studies have focused on the involvement of Drosophila PGRP-SA in antimicrobial peptide (AMP) expression in response to infections, studies on its role in Tenebrio molitor are lacking. Here, we present a functional analysis of T. molitor PGRP-SA (TmPGRP-SA). Amlexanox In the absence of microbes, TmPGRP-SA was highly expressed in the late-larval fat body, followed by hemocytes, and gut. Interestingly, following Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Candida albicans infections, the mRNA level of TmPGRP-SA was significantly upregulated in both the fat body and gut. TmPGRP-SA silencing had a significant effect on the mortality rates for all the microbes tested. Moreover, TmPGRP-SA is required for regulating the expression of eight AMP genes namely TmTenecin-1, -2, and -4; TmDefensin-1 and -2; TmColeoptericin-1; and TmAttacin-1b and -2 in the fat body in response to E. coli and S. aureus infections. TmPGRP-SA is essential for the transcription of TmTenecin-2, -4; TmDefensin-2; TmColeoptericin-1, -2; and TmAttacin-1a, -1b, and -2 in the gut upon E. coli and C. albicans infections. However, TmPGRP-SA does not regulate AMP expression in the hemocytes. Additionally, TmDorsal isoform X2, a downstream Toll transcription factor, was downregulated in TmPGRP-SA-silenced larval fat body following E. coli and S. aureus challenges, and in the gut following E. coli and C. albicans challenges.In this paper, the dynamic compressive mechanical properties of entangled metallic wire material (EMWM) under low-velocity impact were investigated and the constitutive model for EMWM under low-velocity impact was established. The research in this paper is based on a series of drop-hammer tests. The results show that the energy absorption rate of EMWM is in the range from 50% to 85%. Moreover, the EMWM with a higher relative density would not plastically deform macroscopically and has excellent characteristics of repetitive energy absorption. With the increase in relative density, the maximum deformation of EMWM decreases gradually, and the impact force of EMWM increases gradually. With the increase in impact-velocity, the phenomenon of stiffness softening before reaching the maximum deformation of EMWM becomes more significant. A constitutive model for EMWM based on the Sherwood-Frost model was established to predict the dynamic compressive mechanical properties of EMWM. The accuracy of the model was verified by comparing the calculated results with the experimental data of the EMWM with different relative densities under different impact-velocities. The comparison results show that the established model can properly predict the dynamic compressive mechanical characteristics of EMWM under low-velocity impact loading.Over the past decade, high-fidelity medical simulation has become an accepted and widely used teaching method in pediatrics. Both simulation and work in the real conditions of emergency departments are accompanied by stress that affects the executive functions of participants. One of the methods for reducing stress among medical students and healthcare professionals is the practice of mindfulness. The aim of this study was to examine whether executive functions, mindfulness, and stress are related to the technical and non-technical skills of medical students participating in medical simulations in pediatrics. The study included 153 final-year medical students. A total of 306 high-fidelity simulations of life-threatening situations involving children were conducted. Results Stress and the coping mechanism of the participants were correlated to their skills during pediatric simulations. Some components of mindfulness, such as non-judgment and conscious action, were positively related to the skills of medical team leaders.
