The COVID-19 pandemic has led to an unprecedented expansion of telemedicine services worldwide. This study aimed to explore the practice of telemedicine in Pediatric Surgery in Germany, the impact of the pandemic on its development and parents' and surgeons' experiences with telemedicine.

The study is a cross-sectional analysis using three surveys between 6/2020 and 10/2020 (1) all Pediatric Surgery departments of Germany reported whether they provide telemedicine services. (2) Members of the German Society of Pediatric Surgery and (3) families who participated in an outpatient visit by telephone or video with the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Urology of the University Hospital Frankfurt completed an anonymous survey on their experience with telemedicine.

21% of the Pediatric Surgery departments in Germany provided telemedicine, of which 57% started due to the pandemic. The lack of physical examination and face-to-face contact seem to be the major limitations to surgeons and parents. 48% of the parents answered that telemedicine is equal to or better than traditional appointments, while 33% thought that telemedicine is worse.

This study shows that families and doctors alike have had positive experiences with telemedicine and most will continue to use this format after the pandemic.

To describe a rare case of bilateral mirror feet with varus deformity and review of literature.

AP and oblique radiographs of both feet were taken.

On radiographs, right foot showed eight toes and seven metatarsals while left foot showed eight toes and seven metatarsals, the three extra toes were present preaxially (on hallux side) in both feet, showing characteristics of postaxial toes termed as "mirror foot". Varus deformity was noted at the subtalar joint, otherwise tarsal bones appeared normal. No any syndromatic association was present.

Exponential increases in rehabilitation intensity in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) motivated recent changes in Medicare reimbursement policies, which remove financial incentives for providing more minutes of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Yet there is concern that SNFs will reduce therapy provision and patients will experience worse outcomes. The purpose of this systematic review was to synthesize current evidence on the relationship between therapy intensity and patient outcomes in SNFs.

PubMed, Medline, Scopus, Embase, CINAHL, PEDro, and COCHRANE databases were searched. English-language studies published in the United States between 1998 and February 14, 2020, examining the relationship between therapy intensity and community discharge, hospital readmission, length of stay (LOS), and functional improvement for short-stay SNF patients were considered. Data extraction and risk of bias were performed using the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Classification of Evidence sely monitored to ensure patients in SNFs receive high-quality care.

We presented naturalistic auditory textures with unexpectedly changing statistics to human listeners. Awake, active listeners were asked to indicate the change by button press, while all other groups (awake passive, asleep, minimally conscious state (MCS), and unresponsive wakefulness syndrome (UWS)) listened passively. We quantified the evoked potential at stimulus onset and change in stimulus statistics, as well as the complexity of neural response during the change of stimulus statistics. On the group level, onset and change potentials classified patients and healthy controls successfully but failed to differentiate between the UWS and MCS groups.
