Driving License Category A1
Driving License Category A1 permits you to operate two-wheeled motorized vehicles. It permits you to drive mopeds or small motorcycles that have engines that have no more than 11 kW.

Prerequisites
You must be at minimum 16 years old to obtain a driving licence category A1. This license permits the driver to operate a light motorcycle, while A2 and A are reserved for larger motor vehicles. In Belgium, you can only drive a moped or a motorcycle with three or four wheels if you have an A1 category full licence. You can drive a category A1 motorbike only if you hold an A1 full category or a full A2 licence. In other countries, it is possible to gain access to a higher license category by first learning to drive smaller-powered motorcycles. In Germany for instance, after two years' experience on Category A1 motorcycles, you only need to pass the test in practice, not the theory test, in order to upgrade to category A2. Theory test
The Driving License Category A1 exam is a two-part exam that includes a theory and a practical part. Practical test

This licence allows you to drive trikes that have engines up to 125cc, and a power/weight ratio of no more than 11 kW per kilogram.
