A significant correlation exists between the effectiveness of lenvatinib in HCC and the independent drug resistance factor, HOTAIRM1. By downregulating miR-34a and upregulating Beclin-1, HOTAIRM1 promotes autophagy activation, ultimately contributing to lenvatinib resistance in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
HOTAIRM1's presence as an independent drug resistance factor is significantly correlated with the efficacy of lenvatinib in treating HCC. A consequence of HOTAIRM1's effect on miR-34a and Beclin-1 might be autophagy activation, resulting in resistance to lenvatinib treatment for HCC.
