Notes

The weather could not have afforded the quiet little woodsy town better, as today was the warmest and sunniest day of the year. Young Aria was an animal-loving outdoors girl by heart, enjoying long hikes with her parents, swimming in the big lake, fishing, watching wildlife, camping, and picking flowers for her mother. Today was such a day that the happy-go-lucky eight year old was searching for the most perfectly gorgeous wild roses for her mommy, since her mother favored the fragrance of roses best. It just so happened that while Aria was out and about in search of those most ideal blossoms, her friend Carson saw her skipping by on the road and approached her bursting with enthusiasm.
"Aria, Aria, you HAVE to see this cave I found! It 's like, SO cool! It's super dark and infested with bats!" The boy exclaimed enthusiastically. Although the girl was bit nervous at the prospect of a dark cave, the bats certainly intrigued her...

"Sir, I'd like to speak to my pediatrician please...Ok, thank you...Hi Dr. Benson, it 's Carra Knight, I am rather concerned about Aria right now.
.."
"What seems to be the problem with
little Aria Mrs.Knight?"
"Her behavior, sir. In the past two days she's been increasingly hostile, even violent, has been rather moody and irritable, avoids any social contact, throws these nightmarish tantrums, and won't eat anything. She has some sort of insane fear of water too, sir. Yesterday we almost wrecked because the radio was on and she said yelled that she couldn't stand the noise. She scratched and kicked me and tried to bite me and we nearly got into a head-on...I can't understand, I mean she's always loved music, it was her favorite song...Please tell me you know what's going on." Said Mrs. Knight with a voice thick with concern and emotion.
Pause. "That's such unusual behavior for sweet and lively little Aria. Tell me, has she gone outside lately?
Sniffle. "Yeah, three days ago. Why?"
Dr. Benson. "What's her temperature?"
"I don't know, let me check....101, doctor."
Dr. Benson bit his lip over the phone. "She didn't bite you, did she?"
"No."
"That's very good." The doctor said.
Mrs. Knight dared to ask, "Can you help her? Can you help my little girl??"
Benson sighed and, with sadness as well as fear tugging at his heart, said, "I 'm afraid it 's too late to help your daughter now, Mrs. Knight. I am so, so sorry about this. We should have warned you
all."
