This is a mystery.

I started chatting with a cute girl from okcupid on Saturday June 25th. We kept chatting for a day, with subtle flirts and jests peppered about. Great online chemistry, both attracted to each other. So I ask for her number, and we continue to text starting on June 26th. Through the next couple of days, our texts evolved into massive chains. Very much so into each other simply by the length of these messages. I had asked her out for Saturday the 2nd of July. She accepted.

Here's where it gets weird.., on Tuesday June 28th, I text her back another long message chain in reply to hers, but I get no response. No worries, long messages, she's probably just busy. That's what I think. The next day, Wedneday, late at night 11 pm, she texts me:

"Hey look now, you could get your amputated limb replaced by a high tech prosthetic ... which is basically the start of the plot for Deux Machina."

That was a response to something I had said, but only a small bit of it, so I didn't reply assuming she'd finish replying to the rest later. An hour later she texts:

"Hey just giving a heads up I had a roller coaster kind of day. I'll reply to everything tmrw =)"

So I think that's fine, she must have had a stressful day or something. An hour later I respond with:

"That's true, I could. And soon those electronic prosthetics will be upgrades to our own biological limbs. How wild... I do think Deux ex is a valid glimpse into our future. Though in a less dystopian sense. No worries though, reply when you have a chance. No rush. Hopefully your rollercoaster day wasn't terrible. What happened?"

That was sent Thursday June 29th at 3:55 am (I work late)

I didn't get any response all through Thursday and Friday. On Saturday I decided to send a second text saying:

"Hey Girl's Name here, Haven't heard from you in a while. Hopefully you're doing okay."

And now we are Tuesday July 5th, with no response yet. Now, fades happen, it's not my first rodeo. But a fade here would be extremely weird given the chemistry we had. Is it possible? Of course, but strange. What makes this even more bizarre however, is that she hasn't been on okcupid since Thursday 7:30 am. I honestly hope nothing happened to her, because this just seems off..
