Neutropenia and diarrhoea are common and potentially serious adverse events associated with abemaciclib in advanced breast cancer (ABC), and the risk factors have been minimally explored. The study aimed to develop clinical prediction tools that allow personalized predictions of neutropenia and diarrhoea following abemaciclib initiation.
Data was pooled from MONARCH 1, 2 and 3 trials investigating abemaciclib. Cox proportional hazard analysis was used to assess the association between pre-treatment clinicopathological data and grade ≥3 diarrhoea and neutropenia occurring within the first 365 days of abemaciclib use.
Older age was associated with increased risk of grade ≥3 diarrhoea [HR [95%CI] for age>70 1.72 [1.14-2.58]; P=0.009]. A clinical prediction tool for abemaciclib induced grade ≥3 neutropenia was optimally defined by race, ECOGPS and white blood cell count. Large discrimination between subgroups was observed; the highest risk subgroup had a 64% probability of grade ≥3 neutropenia within themaciclib.
To investigate the needed, unneeded and unmet health care services among rural community-dwelling older adults in China and examine the influencing factors, aiming to facilitate the global development of the home care system for a healthier world.
This cross-sectional study investigated rural areas in three provinces in Western China. A total of 1727 rural community-dwelling older adults were enrolled. The needed, unneeded and unmet health care services were assessed by the Supply and Demand of Health Care Services (SD-HCS) questionnaire for older adults.
Respect (73%, 1265/1727) was the most needed. The other top 9 needed mainly belonged to the divisions of health monitoring and information regarding chronic diseases. Re-employment or part-time jobs (71%, 1230/1727) was the most unneeded. All five protection and safety items were the most unmet but needed. Religion was the main influencing factor of those health care services that were less unmet but needed.
Respect was basic for older adults, and chronic disease management was in great demand among rural community-dwelling older adults. Due to low willingness and the crisis workforce, a more flexible retirement policy is needed in rural China. It is urgent to improve the emergency care system in rural areas. Last but not least, more research is needed to explore the association between religion and health.Numerical simulation of wildland fire spread is useful to predict the locations that are likely to burn and to support decision in an operational context, notably for crisis situations and long-term planning. For short-term, the computational time of traditional simulators is too high to be tractable over large zones like a country or part of a country, especially for fire danger mapping. This issue is tackled by emulating the area of the burned surface returned after simulation of a fire igniting anywhere in Corsica island and spreading freely during one hour, with a wide range of possible environmental input conditions. A deep neural network with a hybrid architecture is used to account for two types of inputs the spatial fields describing the surrounding landscape and the remaining scalar inputs. After training on a large simulation dataset, the network shows a satisfactory approximation error on a complementary test dataset with a MAPE of 32.8%. The convolutional part is pre-computed and the emulator is defined as the remaining part of the network, saving significant computational time. On a 32-core machine, the emulator has a speed-up factor of several thousands compared to the simulator and the overall relationship between its inputs and output is consistent with the expected physical behavior of fire spread. This reduction in computational time allows the computation of one-hour burned area map for the whole island of Corsica in less than a minute, opening new application in short-term fire danger mapping.In this paper, the bipartite synchronization issue for a class of coupled reaction-diffusion networks with antagonistic interactions and switching topologies is investigated. First of all, by virtue of Lyapunov functional method and pinning control technique, we obtain some sufficient conditions which can guarantee that networks with signed graph topologies realize bipartite synchronization under any initial conditions and arbitrary switching signals. Secondly, for the general switching signal and periodic switching signal, a pinning controller that can ensure bipartite synchronization of reaction-diffusions networks is designed based on the obtained conditions. Meanwhile, a directed relationship between coupling strength and control gains is presented. Thirdly, numerical simulation is provided to demonstrate the correctness and validity of the derived theoretical results for reaction-diffusion systems. We briefly conclude our findings and future work.A three-hidden-layer neural network with super approximation power is introduced. More generally for an arbitrary continuous function f on [0,1]d with a modulus of continuity ωf(⋅), the constructive approximation rate is 2ωf(2d)2-N+ωf(2d2-N). Moreover, we extend such a result to general bounded continuous functions on a bounded set E⊆Rd.
