Data on reprocessing of electrophysiology (EP) materials are sparse. Reprocessing of catheters and other materials in daily routine varies through countries and may depend on specific material characteristics, supplier, or federal law. The aim of this study was to collect data on reprocessing usage through EHRA countries. An online survey consisting of 27 questions was distributed to EHRA Young EP members and members of national EP working groups. Two hundred and two participants from 34 EHRA countries completed the survey. One hundred and seven respondents (53.0%) reported having used and using reprocessed EP material, 30 (14.9%) respondents have used reprocessed EP material in the past but not at the time of the survey, 65 (32.2%) had never used reprocessed EP material. A systematic review of mental health outcomes and needs of children and families during past pandemics was conducted based on the PRISMA protocol. The objectives were to evaluate the quality of existing studies on this topic, determine what is known about mental health outcomes and needs of children and families, and provide recommendations for how COVID-19 policies can best support children and families.

The objective of this investigation is to explore the utility of using a spot urine sample in lieu of a 24-hour collection in assessing fragment-related metal exposure in war-injured veterans.

Twenty-four veterans collected each urine void over a 24-hour period in separate containers. Concentrations of 13 metals were measured in each void and in a pooled 24-hour sample using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. To assess the reliability of spot sample measures over time, intraclass correlations (ICCs) were calculated across all spot samples. Lin's concordance correlation coefficient was used to assess agreement between a randomly selected spot urine sample and each corresponding 24-hour sample.

In total, 149 spot urine samples were collected. Ten of the 13 metals measured had ICCs more than 0.4, suggesting "fair to good" reliability. Concordance coefficients were more than 0.4 for all metals, suggesting "moderate" agreement between spot and 24-hour concentrations, and more than 0.6 for seven of the 13 metals, suggesting "good" agreement.

Our fair to good reliability findings, for most metals investigated, and moderate to good agreement findings for all metals, across the range of concentrations observed here, suggest the utility of spot urine samples to obtain valid estimates of exposure in the longitudinal surveillance of metal-exposed populations.

Administrative databases from the Regional Health Information System of Friuli Venezia Giulia (FVG), Italy, were used. Subjects were residents in FVG, suffered from chronic inflammatory arthritis and had at least one prescription for a DMARD in the 9 months before the start of the vaccination season (from 1 October to 31 December). The observation ranged from 2006 to 2018. Logistic regression was used to assess the association between vaccination and the patient's characteristics in the 2018-2019 influenza season.

Overall, vaccination adherence decreased from the highest value of 35.7% (662/1853) in 2006 to the lowest value of 25.3% (926/3663) in 2014; in people ≥65 years of age it also decreased over time from 61.6% (577/936) in 2008 to 43.9% (701/1595) in the 2014. By logistic analysis on the 2018-2019 season, which included 4460 patients, older subjects were more likely to be vaccinated [people 65-74 years, odds ratio (OR) 4.58 (95% CI 3.72, 5.64); people 75-84 years, OR 6.47 (95% CI 5.04, 8.32); both vs <65] as were those with diabetes [OR 1.66 (95% CI 1.05, 2.64)]. Treatment with a biologic agent alone [OR 0.64 (95% CI 0.52, 0.80)] and RA diagnosis [OR 0.69 (95% CI 0.51, 0.93)] were associated with lower adherence.
