Langkah-langkah :
1. Relaks, dan tanamkan secara tegas sebelum tidur bahwa 'saya akan melakukan lucid dreaming'.
2. Pejamkan mata, visualisasikan hal yang tidak membutuhkan imajinasi atau emosi tinggi (seperti gradasi warna, landscape, dll). Tetap usahakan diri anda agar tetap terjaga dan tidak terbawa untuk masuk ke deep sleep.
3. Nikmati segala fase yang dirasakan, entah itu getaran/tarikan/dll. Jangan pernah berontak ketika fase ini terjadi.
4. Anda akan segera masuk ke fase sleep paralyze, hal terpenting adalah jangan memunculkan rasa takut anda sedikit pun disini. Ini fase dimana anda seolah terbangun, tetapi tidak dapat menggerakan anggota tubuh anda.
5. Tunggu beberapa saat. Tidak lama kemudian anda akan merasa terjatuh ke dalam lubang dan visualisasi anda akan blur/gelap.
6. Sekarang silahkan coba gerakkan anggota tubuh anda, berhasil bukan?
