Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are getting more powerful. They pass our cleaning tests, and are able to handle various flooring. Choose models that allow you to select between a variety of modes, including self-emptying and clean stairs.
Many of the best models are compatible with your smartphone. Find an app that allows you to save maps, set schedules, and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and customize the S1's behaviour.
When I tried the S1, it was quick to locate the downstairs area, which has Linoleum flooring in the kitchen/dining room and bathrooms, as well as carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It was capable of driving close to walls and even across thresholds that are raised without issue. However, it had some difficulty navigating down the stairs in one step. The S1 also did an excellent job cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving smoothly on its flat side against the floor, and then lifting itself when it reached carpet or rugs.
The docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and replenishes its water tank on board with clean, ozonated waters prior to every mopping session. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1's water tank can hold enough water for around 12 cleaning sessions before it needs to be empty, but it will differ based on how often you use the mop.
The S1 requires periodic maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. For this, you'll need to rinse out the dirty water tank occasionally to keep it from becoming clogged. It is also necessary to clean your swivel wheel and sensors regularly to avoid them getting blocked by dust or dirt. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop provides a powerful solution for cleaning. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8700Pa of suction and comes with numerous innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning to avoid obstructions and cleans furniture. Its mopping capability is impressive. Rotating mop heads actually lift the floor and scrub it, rather than just moving a pad across the surface. The mops can also be cleaned and dried at the base station, if needed.
This robot combination is simple to install and use, with a simple interface that walks you through the process. It comes with a hand vacuum that recharges to reach those areas the robot isn't able to reach, as well as two water tanks that are automatically emptied and replenished as required. It has a variety of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a great vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction that can easily remove dirt and other debris that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, although it could get stuck on small mats and rugs at my home (which you can reduce by defining virtual boundaries in the app). The mopping capabilities are quite excellent, too, with a pair of spin mop pads that actually lift and scrub the floors, instead of just dragging the pad over it. The mops can be cleaned with hot water and dried in the base station as needed. The mops can also be filled at the top of the station if they are required.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame launched the high-end X30 Ultra earlier this year and their new top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-off maintenance which makes it a strong contender for our top mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush guarantee a thorough, custom-designed clean.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, removing both fine and large debris. It is equally effective on carpets and hard floors. It also cleaned our test's most soiled areas efficiently, while avoiding tangled pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping power is enhanced by a side brush that extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, and an extendable mop pad that can be placed alongside baseboards.
Its navigation system is nimble that can navigate tiny spaces and negotiating stairs without skipping a step. It can move from one room to another without needing to reverse the direction. This is beneficial for homes with a lot of rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than other models However, it tends to leave a wide margin around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.
The app is streamlined user interface that is designed to be user-friendly for both new and experienced users. The app lets you plan and manage cleanings, change the suction power and mopping settings and view 3D and 2D maps, and much more. You can control it via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely, for live video surveillance. You'll require a stable Wi-Fi connection in order to operate it through the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
Robot vacuums are fantastic at removing dirt and debris, but they can't reach every bit of dust. It is important to clean often, at least once a week. This is especially true for dust that builds up in corners, on shelves, and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that both vacuums and mop, is made to do exactly that. It's easy to connect to your Wi-Fi at home network and is compatible with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more practical addition to your cleaning routine.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, which includes the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it is cheaper because it doesn't have mopping capabilities and comes with a plastic body.
The Q5 is still one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping robots we've ever seen at this price even though it's not able to clean your floor. It has powerful 5500Pa suction and an auto-empty system, so you don't have to manually empty the bin every time. It comes with a smart application which allows you to schedule cleaning and determine the floor type. It also has an automatic water tank filling system and washing system to allow hands-free operation.
Its mops are also awe-inspiring with 2700Pa of power to take on dirt, dust and pet hair on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 was one of the few robots we tested that did not have issues with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it could not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't too surprising because it doesn't contain AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. robot vacuum reviews Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robovac we have ever tested. It also has an innovative mapping system that lets it reach corners and tight places that other vacuums are unable to. It also is able to collect more dust in the larger bin, meaning that you don't need to empty it as frequently. Furthermore, it comes with washable filters which further reduces the costs associated with using the device. This robot can also detect carpets and increase suction if required. The app allows you to mark off areas that you want it to stay clear of this is a useful feature.
