vacuum bot and Vacuum Combos
The majority of robot vacuum and mop combinations can be customised using a specialized application. You can save maps of your house and set up cleaning schedules and choose mopping modes. They also let you change suction power and fine-tune the amount of water and scrub action your mop makes use of.
A mapping feature can help your robot navigate through rooms, while an obstacle avoidance function helps it avoid hitting furniture, wires or stray pet toys. These features are vital in my house filled with toys.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the company's flagship mop and vacuum cleaner, so it naturally comes packed with features. It's able to mop and sweep in a single session and can raise its brushes and mop pads to prevent soft surfaces from getting too wet. It also can avoid obstacles by finding pets, plants, and other small objects.
The robotic vacuum's maximum suction power is 6 000 pascals. This is higher than any vacuum we've test so far. It's also equipped with PreciSense LiDAR navigation that tracks its position, preventing it from getting stuck on objects.
Mopping capabilities are also impressive and the S8 Pro Ultra able to apply a constant pressure of 6 Newtons to the mop pad to provide an intense clean. It also has mop lifter which lifts the pad automatically as it changes between tile and laminate, hardwood and carpet or rugs to prevent soaking soft surfaces.
The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing and self drying features. The pad can be rinsing and heat-drying within the dock. The dust bin will automatically empty and return to the dock. This means that you can leave it in place and forget it, only needing to clean the dust bag and refill the water tank on occasion.
All of this is powered by a 5,200mAh lithium-ion battery. I ran it on its normal vac and mop settings for approximately 160 minutes before the S8 Pro Ultra started to be power-deficient and return to its base for a recharge. This is not far off of the 180 minutes that Roborock claims and is comparable with other hybrids that I've tested.
This is a very robust and well-rounded product with the only drawback being that it's costly. But, the sheer number of features makes it a very appealing alternative for anyone who wishes to get rid of their old stick vacuums and mop. If you can justify the cost, we highly recommend checking this one out.
2. Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium combination. The high price is justified by the powerful features, including a large vacuuming capability, as well as two mop heads that rotate. It comes with an app-enabled smart controller and powerful obstacle-avoidance technology.
The L10S Ultra has a retail price of 999 euros, which is one of the highest robotic vacuum and mop combos on the market. In my tests, it performed admirably throughout the house. It was able to eliminate 98.4 percent of the debris on any type of floor and was able to lift long hair without getting caught in. The mops also performed admirably, achieving excellent cleaning results with less effort than mid-range models. This was due to their rotational movement and an effective dose of cleaning solution.
The L10S Ultra's most significant selling point is its advanced docking station that is multi-functional. The docking station empties the trash bin into a bag to collect dirt, refills the tank with water to use for mopping and even dries your mop pads. It has a real-time hazards detection system, and its intelligent controls allow you to schedule regular cleaning sessions.
The L10S Ultra does not offer superior carpet debris removal performance when compared to the other hybrid vacuum mop I tested. The mops of the L10S Ultra aren't as effective in removing stubborn staining as the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
Despite the L10S Ultra's numerous top-of-the-line features, it requires regular maintenance and care. To prevent the growth of mildew or unpleasant smells, the base station, dustbag, and water tanks must be cleaned regularly, emptied, and dried. The mop pads that are sold separately will also require replacement every few months.
I would recommend the L10S Ultra to anyone with the budget. For those who are on a budget, I would suggest a more rudimentary model that will allow you to save money while still enjoying the convenience of hands-free cleaning at your home. It's important to remember that even the L10S Ultra is the best robot vacuum and mop you can find however, its cost and maintenance costs will eventually make it more of a desire than a necessity.
3. Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that will pick up dirt and dust on your hard floors while taking care of wet messes, then you should look no further than the Eufy S1 Pro. This powerful robovac/mop combination has a powerful suction power of 8,000 Pa. It also has an enormous battery capacity that can be used for mopping and vacuuming. And it is equipped with an excellent obstacle-avoidance system. It has a roller-mop that cleans itself which makes it stand out from other models that require you to return to the base station to wash off the mop pad.
The S1 Pro has a unique mopping system that is different from the spinning discs and microfibre pads of other robots. The roller covers the full width of the bot, and it is constantly filled with ozonated, clean water from its dock. While it spins, the roller scrubs your floors while soaking up dirt, and any dry debris is picked up by the side brushes or swept away into the front colision bumper. The S1 Pro then dumps the dirty mop water into its base station, which is then sucked up by the tank's heating elements and then pumped into a larger storage canister. The tank that is onboard can hold a good amount of water and can take on up to a dozen mopping sessions before rushing out.
The S1 Pro comes ready to use out of the package, just like most other robotic vacuums and mops. It will need to be filled with clean water, however this is easy to do by cleaning the dock. If you want to use your own cleaner you can add a cleaning solution to dock. If you do opt for this feature you'll have to purchase the branded cleaning solution from Eufy, which is more expensive than other robot brands that permit users to use their own cleaner of choice.
The S1 Pro performed well in the coverage and navigation efficiency tests, just like the majority of robots. It was quick to map the area and navigated around furniture. It got stuck on carpets with larger piles a couple of times during my tests. However it could be improved by re-updating the software. The S1 Pro is a very robust robot that is available at an affordable price.
4. Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock's entry-level mop and vacuum cleaner, but it still has some impressive features. The dock's multifunction emptying the robot's dirtbag, refilling its water tanks, and washing and sanitizing mop pads is performed by the dock. The mopping system itself is capable of cleaning a large portion of an area before returning to its dock and the vacuum's high suction does a nice job of picking up debris and pet hair that accumulates on carpets.
The software that runs this appliance is fairly dense, with a wide variety of options to personalize the cleaning process. You can choose to manually start the full map and then take care to clean everything that is that the device maps, or you can choose particular rooms, expandable zones or even a schedule you've crafted. SmartPlan is one of the mopping options. It makes use of the sensors on the mops to map the area and determine the most efficient method to clean it.
The Qrevo did well in our tests, as all Roborock models we've evaluated. Its navigation system is robust that can quickly map rooms and cleaning them in an organized fashion. The 'Normal" pathing setting covers the room thoroughly, without any major gaps or missed areas. Reactive Tech's hazard avoidance works well too, but it's not as advanced as color camera systems on the Qrevo Master and the S8 Pro Ultra. It can detect dangers such as thick carpets but might not be able to recognize smaller items such as electrical wires or rug tassels.
One of the biggest flaws of this device is the absence of a mop after vacuum option that could be a problem for those who spend a lot of time vacuuming before cleaning their robot. There's a simple solution to this issue: the app has an option that allows you to "clean up" at the conclusion of every vacuuming session. You can make use of the vacuum's mopping functions to remove the dust and traces that remained after vacuuming. This is a great feature that helps this robot to clean up a bit better than its cheaper competitors.
