Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
If you're looking to clean up messes quickly and efficiently, a robot vacuum and mop is the way to go. The best robot vacs and mops I've tested are top-quality in navigation and mapping and are able to pick up Cheerios as well as tangled wires, and fake dog turds without leaving them behind.
They're also simple to use with an app that lets you schedule cleaning tasks and see what they're doing.
1. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV is the best robot mop and vacuum. It has the latest features. This premium vacuum is quick and agile, and it picked up pet hair and human dander nearly flawlessly in our Debris Pickup Test. It has a sleek app interface with a mini-map of your home as well as buttons on the screen to allow manual control.
Another notable feature is the S8's ability to adjust its cleaning mode in accordance with dirt levels thanks to its Dirt Detection Technology. It will pause and wash its mopping pad more frequently when it encounters dust, while prioritizing carpeted areas for mopping with a damp pad.
The mop roller comes with many other smart features, including docks that connects to your home plumbing system to wash and clean it without needing to refill the mop. With the built-in voice assistant in the S8 it is possible to use voice commands to set room cleaning modes and the ability to control granular settings using only your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
If you're looking for a hands-free robot vacuum that has mopping capabilities The Yeedi Cube is one of the more versatile choices. It's one of many combinator robot vacuums that include mopping features that are also priced lower than the competition.
Like most robot vacuums, the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get it started. This includes setting up an app account and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once you've done that, the machine will begin vacuuming and mopping effortlessly.
It's important to note that mapping takes some time, and it may take a few times before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate picture of your space. The object detection feature is an issue that is hit-and-miss. It was able to skirt around furniture and other obstacles but it was stuck on a rug with tassels and required a flip to free itself. But these are minor issues, and the Yeedi Cube is still a ideal choice for those who need an all-in-one cleaner.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a three-in-one home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping features an alternating motion that's similar to hand scrubbers. This results in floors being cleaned, not just cleaned. The detachable vacuum stick is an absolute game changer that can reach places even a robot vacuum cannot.
This model is essentially identical to the popular X2 Omni but with a slightly higher suction power of 8,700Pa as well as a few additional features that are smart. The RGBD sensor upgrade can learn your home and offer the ability to avoid obstacles in a dynamic manner. The smart app allows you to alter a variety of settings including AI cleanings and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo also has self-preparation. Both the mop and vacuum robot return to their charging station at the end of each job to clean their pads and empty the dust bins and place the debris into a self sealing bag. This helps keep the system tidy and stops allergens from circulating. The battery's life is enough to clean large areas without needing the battery to be charged mid-clean.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the more top-quality robot vacuums and mop models that we have reviewed, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for the money. It has a strong 8,000 Pa suction power as well as a rotating brush for hard and carpet floors, and great obstacles-avoiding. It also boasts an innovative mopping system that uses a roller that is continuously filled with water to pick up dirt and deposit it in the dirty water tank.
Its navigation system performed well. It stayed clear of the stairs and was able to navigate close to walls without falling. It struggled with fine particles and didn't always clear the thresholds in rooms. The operating level of the sound is also very high, which means this model might not be as easy to set and forget as other models.
Like many robotic vacuums and mops, the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that can replenish its clean water, empty its dustbin and mop pad, as well as wash and dry its mop. This makes maintenance simple and helps the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors according to an ongoing basis. Eufy's app lets you manage all the functions. It gives an easy overview and a variety of options for configuration.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the most premium robot vacuums/mowers available, and it offers amazing mixed vacuuming and mopping performance. Its LIDAR mapping sensor is able to recognize furniture legs and other obstacles with a decent precision. robot hoover allows users to fine-tune map coverage, set no-go zones, and modify cleaning preferences. The Freo's brush is designed to stop hair from wrapping itself around it. This can be a major problem with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too and comes with Reuleaux triangular mop pads that spin at 180 RPM and can apply up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system is also equipped with smart carpet detection, lifting the pads up when they're in proximity to soft surfaces to avoid contaminating the carpet.
The docking station acts as a hands-free maintenance centre that automatically washes and dry the mops and refills them with detergent and distilled water. The base station also comes with integrated dust processing that compacts dust for seven weeks of maintenance-free operation, unlike conventional robot vacuums that empty their bins of dust every time they need to be emptied.
6. S10
This robot is a few hundred dollars less than the S8 and does a great job of keeping my office clean. It can also reach the corners of my small apartment. It makes use of laser mapping and a camera to build an outline of your space which allows it to know which areas to avoid. It also has a detector for objects and obstructions that can block things like dog bowls and toys (but not Poop) unlike most vacuums.
Other fantastic features include a self emptying dustbin, a mop that is self-washing and adjustable for water temperature, and a side-reaching brush that can reach areas that other mops miss. You can also set up cleaning schedules within the app and adjust the settings for each room of your home.
It has the same multi-room smart mapping that is found in the S8 and can distinguish between laminate and carpets, with high-pile carpets. It can also avoid cleaning rooms that aren't clean if you want to save time. If you have several types of flooring in your house and don't wish to spend more money on a Roborock that has advanced mapping features this is a great choice.
7. Q5 Pro
If you're looking for a flexible robot vacuum and mop that can handle regular maintenance and touch-ups for messy messes that are wet, this robot is a great choice. It comes with a wide range of features that include a self-emptying dustbin and a separate dock for refilling water, and customizable settings via the app. It's surprisingly quiet and is able to easily move around furniture legs or socks. It's unable to pick up knots in the rug and it drains its battery faster than other models we've tried.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a beast that offers a powerful suction and convenient automation in a sleek. It didn't score quite as well in our mopping and mopping tests as the much pricier Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra however it did very well overall. It comes with a variety of cleaning options, ranging from the low power 'Quiet mode which is suitable for small debris to the powerful Turbo mode for carpeted areas. It even has the ability to automatically remove and reattach its mop pads without getting your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is an excellent robot mop and vacuum cleaner that can be used in smaller areas. It is very quick and quiet and it is able to navigate tight spaces well. It's also excellent at removing pet hair off carpets.
It's smaller than many of its competitors however, it doesn't compromise any features. It has decent suction power and can be set to take pictures of every object it finds (i.e. chew toys socks, chew toys) and mark them in the app as 'not found' to ensure that they won't be removed in future cleanings. The photos are secure, and are not tied to your account.
It's great for vacuuming, but not as well at mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes that are clipped onto the bottom of the bot and then it drags them around your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal that have water reservoirs, and automatically wash and attach their mopheads.
