To evaluate the effect of structured contraceptive counselling on the uptake of long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs) and pregnancy rates.

Abortion, youth and maternal health clinics in Stockholm, Sweden.

Sexually active women aged ≥18years without a wish for pregnancy seeking abortion and/or contraceptive counselling.

For participants in clinics randomised to intervention, trained healthcare providers implemented a study-specific intervention package designed for structured contraceptive counselling. Participants in the control clinics received routine counselling.

The primary outcome was choice of LARCs at first visit. Secondary outcomes were LARC initiation at 3months and pregnancy rates at 3 and 12months. We used logistic mixed-effects models with random intercept for clinic to account for clustering.

From September 2017 to May 2019, 28 randomised clinics enrolled 1364 participants. Analyses including 1338 subjects showed that more participants in the intervention group compared with the control group chose LARCs 267/658 (40.6%) versus 206/680 (30.3%) (OR2.77, 95%CI 1.99-3.86). LARC initiation was higher in the intervention group compared with the control group 213/528 (40.3%) versus 153/531 (28.8%) (OR1.74, 95%CI 1.22-2.49). At the abortion clinics, the pregnancy rate was significantly lower at 12months in the intervention group compared with the control group 13/101 (12.9%) versus 28/103 (27.2%) (OR0.39, 95%CI 0.18-0.88).

Similarly, the impact of humidity alteration on the structure of peristome has never been studied. • The Polytrichum commune Hedw. var. commune from Guizhou Province in China was selected as the research object, about which the simulated wind blowing experiment was carried out in the laboratory. By controlling the humidity and wind, the mechanism of spore disperse was revealed. • The experiments demonstrate that (1) When the humidity increase, the size of peristome structure and epiphragm enlarge significantly (the peristome has no obvious spatial displacement, which is different from the hygroscopic movement of the arthrodontae mosses. Thus, we call it "sub-hygroscopic movement"), and then recover to the normal size when the humidity dries again. (2) Regulated the humidity of the capsule in the wind, the scatter of the spores gradually decreases with the capsule dried out and finally keeps at a very low level; when the capsule wetted or rewetted once again, the amount of spores rises obviously at the initial stage. (3) Through the comparison of moist capsule and dry capsule, it is found that only by enhancing the humidity of the sporophytes, the release of spores is apparently increased. • Results show that the dispersion of spores was significantly improved under the cooperation of wind and sub-hygroscopic movement of capsule peristome, which ensured the continuity and effectiveness of the Polytrichum commune Hedw. var. commune reproduction.
Many people including students affected physically and psychologically by coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak and "home-quarantine." This study aimed at assessing the prevalence and predictors of depression, anxiety and stress among university students in Jordan during "home-quarantine" due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

This is a cross-sectional descriptive study.

Data were collected from a convenience sample of 1,380 Jordanian university students. A web-based survey was used to collect data from the participants using the DASS-21.

The prevalence of depression, anxiety and stress in different levels was 78.7%, 67.9% and 58.7%, respectively, which are higher during "home-quarantine." The mean scores of depression, anxiety and stress were at moderate levels. Here, we explore how this nanostructure is combined with other elements in differently colored plumage patches within a bird. We investigated the association between light reflectance and the morphology of feathers from the back and belly plumage patches of male swallow tanagers (Tersina viridis), which look greenish-blue and white, respectively. Both plumage patches have a reflectance peak around 550 nm but the reflectance spectrum is much less saturated in the belly. The barbs of both types of feathers have similar spongy matrices at their tips, rendering their reflectance spectra alike. However, the color of the belly feather barbs changes from light green at their tips to white closer to the rachis. These barbs lack pigments and their morphology changes considerably throughout. Toward the rachis, the barb is almost hollow, with a reduced area occupied by spongy matrix, and has a flattened shape.
