Berasal dari gabungan kata Arester (bahasa Anglo-French) yang berarti “untuk menghentikan” dan Momentum (bahasa Latin) yang berarti “kekuatan yang timbul ketika sesuatu bergerak”.
Terjemahan harfiahnya dapat disimpulkan menjadi “Memberikan kekuatan untuk menghentikan”.
Mantra ini dapat dikatakan sebagai mantra tingkat lanjut, karena sifatnya yang agak rumit, dan dalam penggunaannya diperlukan sekali konsentrasi dan fokus pada objek mantra untuk menghindari hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan.
