The patient showed significant improvement after 1 month; he was able to walk independently and was discharged. Based on the medication order, the patient was continuously treated with FVIII prophylaxis, clopidogrel tablets, and atorvastatin tablets after discharge to prevent the recurrence of cardiovascular events. The acute coronary syndrome incidence rate is similar in patients with hemophilia and the general population. Multidisciplinary collaborative management is required. The multidisciplinary team needs to develop its diagnosis and treatment process flow, and treatment should be individualized using or anticoagulation/antiplatelet therapy based on the patient's medical history.
The study aimed at assessing the prevalence of underweight and its predictors in patients on ART, in health facilities of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 2020.

A multi-center-based cross-sectional study was conducted among 319 patients on ART selected on the basis of stratified sampling method in Addis Ababa from July 01 to August 30, 2020. An interviewer-administered structured questionnaire was used for collection of the data, after which informed consent was obtained from all the included participants. Descriptive statistics for the summarization of the data was used. Binary (Bivariate and multivariate) logistics regression was applied for the identification of predictors of underweight and its strength of association with their respective 95% confidence intervals and less than 5% p-values as statistically significant association.

The prevalence of underweight among patients on ART was 19.1% (95% CI 15.0-23.9%), while more than one-tenth (14.4%) of the participants were overweight (95% CI 10.8-18.8%). A highe ART drug adherence level of the participants, the higher their risk of sustaining underweight. Concerned bodies were suggested to work over the identified determinants of underweight among patients on ART in the study settings.A beta coronavirus was identified in Wuhan, China, in December 2019 and was named severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2. It spread globally at a rapid rate and killed innumerable people. The SARS-CoV-2 infection, also called coronavirus disease 2019, was declared a pandemic by WHO on March 11, 2020. The increasing number of SARS-CoV-2 related deaths is due to a number of reasons. A few antiviral, antimicrobial, and immune-based drugs have been repurposed for treatment as well as improvement of patient prognosis. These drugs are currently being studied in clinical trials conducted by the World Health Organization (WHO), National Institutes of Health (NIH), and other global health organizations to identify the agents that produce maximum positive patient outcomes and reduction in mortality rate. The aim of this article is to discuss the safety and efficacy of the repurposed drugs in SARS-CoV-2 infection based on currently available clinical evidence and to emphasize the importance of caution required whilst employing the international therapeutic guidelines. Also highlighted in this article are certain specific comorbid conditions, that either involve treatment with the repurposed drugs or have a direct impact of the virus in patients owing to their vulnerability.
Drug-related problems among the elderly population are common and increasing. Multi-professional medication reviews (MR) have arisen as a method to optimize drug therapy for frail elderly patients. Research has not yet been able to show conclusive evidence of the effect of MRs on mortality or hospital admissions.

The aim of this study was to assess the impact of MRs' on hospital admissions and mortality after six and 12 months in a frail population of 369 patients in primary care in a cohort from a randomized controlled study.

Patients were blindly randomized to an intervention group (receiving MRs) and a control group (receiving usual care). Descriptive data on mortality and hospital admissions at six and 12 months were collected. Survival analysis was performed for time to death and time to the first hospital admission within 12 months.

An observational follow-up was performed in a cohort of 369 patients, previously randomized to an intervention group (182) and a control group (187). Most of the patov, registration number NCT04040855, Unique Protocol ID 2018/8.
To compare the performance of histogram analysis and intra-perinodular textural transition (Ipris) for distinguishing between benign and malignant testicular lesions.

This retrospective study included 76 patients with 80 pathologically confirmed testicular lesions (55 malignant, 25 benign). All patients underwent preoperative T2-weighted imaging (T2WI) on a 3.0T MR scanner. All testicular lesions were manually segmented on axial T2WI, and histogram and Ipris features were extracted. Thirty enrolled patients were randomly selected to estimate the robustness of the features. We used intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs) to evaluate intra- and interobserver agreement of features, independent
-test or Mann-Whitney
-test to compare features between benign and malignant lesions, and receiver operating characteristic curve analysis to evaluate the diagnostic performance of features.

Eighteen histogram features and forty-eight Ipris features were extracted from T2WI of each lesion. Most (60/66) histogram and Ipris features had good robustness (ICC of both intra- and interobserver variabilities >0.6). Three histogram and nine Ipris features were significantly different between the benign and malignant groups. The area under the curve values for Energy, TotalEnergy, and Ipris_shell1_id_std were 0.807, 0.808, and 0.708, respectively, which were relatively higher than those of other features.

Ipris features may be useful for identifying benign and malignant testicular tumors but have no significant advantage over conventional histogram features.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a class of non-coding RNAs which function as novel regulators in human cancers. In this study, we aimed to investigate the functional roles and related molecular mechanisms of circ_0006282 in gastric cancer (GC) progression.

Fifty-five GC patients were enrolled in this study. GC cells (AGS and HGC-27) and normal cells (GES-1) were cultured in RPMI1640 added with 10% FBS and 1% penicillin-streptomycin. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) assay was used to determine the expression levels of circ_0006282, transcription elongation factor B subunit 1 (TCEB1) mRNA, miR-144-5p and tyrosine 3-monooxygenase/tryptophan 5-monooxygenase activation protein β (YWHAB; also known as 14-3-3β). RNase R assay was used to determine the characteristic of circ_0006282. Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) assay and colony formation assay were employed for cell proliferation. Transwell assay was conducted for cell migration and invasion. selleckchem Western blot assay was carried out to measure the protein levels of Cyclin D1, matrix metalloprotein 9 (MMP9) and YWHAB.
