The accurate prediction of airplane engine failure can provide a reasonable decision basis for airplane engine maintenance, effectively reducing maintenance costs and reducing the incidence of failure. According to the characteristics of the monitoring data of airplane engine sensors, this work proposed a remaining useful life (RUL) prediction model based on principal component analysis and bidirectional long short-term memory. Principal component analysis is used for feature extraction to remove useless information and noise. After this, bidirectional long short-term memory is used to learn the relationship between the state monitoring data and remaining useful life. This work includes data preprocessing, the construction of a hybrid model, the use of the NASA's Commercial Aerodynamic System Simulation (C-MAPSS) data set for training and testing, and the comparison of results with those of support vector regression, long short-term memory and bidirectional long short-term memory models. The hybrid model shows better prediction accuracy and performance, which can provide a basis for formulating a reasonable airplane engine health management plan.Several studies have revealed that dental unit waterlines (DUWLs) are often contaminated by large numbers of various micro-organisms (bacteria, fungi, protozoa, viruses). Microbial contamination in DUWLs may originate from the mains water piped into the dental unit, the suck-back of patients' saliva into the line due to the lack of adequate valves, and contamination from bottled water systems. Some of the main determinants of microbial contamination in DUWLs are a very small lumen size (0.5-2 mm) of the tubing used, high surface-to-volume ratio (61), low throughput and the materials of which the tubing is made, water stagnation outside of working hours. The environmental conditions present inside the conduits of the dental unit may facilitate the proliferation of micro-organisms and the consequent formation of biofilm on the interior surface of the pipes of DUWLs. During the use of handpieces, particularly high-speed rotating instruments, a spray is thrown up in the form of aerosols or spatters containing biological material (saliva, blood and dental plaque) and micro-organisms. This means that the health of both dental staff and patients could be at risk of infection. GC7 The risk of cross-infections in dental settings can be tackled by implementing combined interventions to prevent the contamination of DUWLs.Loran-C is the most important backup and supplement system for the global navigation satellite system (GNSS). However, existing Loran-C demodulation methods are easily affected by noise and skywave interference (SWI). Therefore, this article proposes a demodulation method based on Loran-C pulse envelope correlation-phase detection (EC-PD), in which EC has two implementation schemes, namely moving average-cross correlation and matched correlation, to reduce the effects of noise and SWI. The mathematical models of the EC, calculation of the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) gain, and selection of the EC schemes are given. The simulation results show that compared with an existing method, the proposed method has clear advantages (1) The demodulation SNR threshold under Gaussian channel is only -2 dB, a reduction of 12.5 dB; (2) The probability of the demodulated SNR threshold, being less than zero under the SWI environment, can reach 0.78, a 26-fold increase. The test results show that the average data availability of the proposed method is 3.3 times higher than that of the existing method. Thus, our demodulation method has higher engineering application value. This will improve the performance of the modern Loran-C system, making it a more reliable backup for the GNSS.The partition coefficients (logP) between n-octanol and water of 47 purified and characterized hydrolysable tannins were measured with the shake flask method utilizing UPLC and HPLC with UV detection. Results show that galloyl glucoses and gallotannins are clearly more hydrophobic than ellagitannins but the differences in hydrophobicity within ellagitannins are more varied than within galloyl glucoses or gallotannins. Most notable structural features that were found to influence the hydrophobicity of ellagitannins were the number of free galloyl groups, acyclic versus cyclic polyol, substitution of the anomeric position of glucose and 4C1 versus 1C4 conformation of the glucopyranose core.
The aim was to study the blood cytokine/chemokine profile of 25-44-year-old people with early ischemic heart disease (IHD) comorbid with abdominal obesity (AO).

A cross-sectional medical examination of subjects in Novosibirsk, Russia, was conducted after random sampling of the above age group. A total of 1457 subjects, 804 females and 653 males, were analyzed. The epidemiological diagnosis of IHD was made in accordance with 17 validated and functional criteria, employing exercise ECG for confirmation. Simultaneous quantitative analyses of 41 cytokines/chemokines in blood serum were performed by a multiplex assay using the HCYTMAG-60K-PX41 panel (MILLIPLEX MAP) on a Luminex 20 MAGPIX flow cytometer, with additional ELISA testing.

Flt3 ligand, GM-CSF, and MCP-1 were significantly associated with the relative risk of early IHD. In the presence of AO, GM-CSF, MCP-1 and IL-4 also significantly correlated with the relative risk of early IHD. By univariate regression analysis, the relative risk of early IHD was associated with lowered blood concentrations of Flt3 ligand, whereas the relative risk of early IHD in the presence of AO was associated with lowered blood concentrations of GM-CSF. Employing multivariable regression analysis, only lower blood levels of Flt3 ligand were associated with a relative risk of early IHD, whereas the relative risk of early IHD in the presence of AO was limited to lower levels of IL-4.

Findings related to Flt3 ligand, GM-CSF, and IL-4 are consistent with the international literature. Results from the present study are partly confirmative and partly hypothesis generating.
