Development of a new COVID-19 solar panel questionnaire: the particular IAB high-frequency on-line personalized solar panel (HOPP).
To investigate the clinical characteristics of optic nerve head (ONH) prelaminar schisis in eyes with advanced glaucoma.

Cross-sectional study.

One hundred sixteen eyes with advanced glaucoma (30-2 MD < -12 dB) were included. ONH prelaminar schisis was identified using the spectral-domain optical coherence tomography independently by 2 evaluators and only eyes that reached to consensus for the presence of ONH prelaminar schisis were included. Bruch's membrane opening-minimum rim width (BMO-MRW), thickness and depth of lamina cribrosa (LC), peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness, macular thickness (total, RNFL, ganglion cell layer, inner plexiform layer), and peripapillary and subfoveal choroidal thickness were additionally obtained. Clinical characteristics were compared between the two groups based on the presence of ONH prelaminar schisis.

ONH prelaminar schisis was identified in 48 of 116 eyes. Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that short axial length, thin andmay have significant clinical implications for management of advanced glaucoma eyes with and without ONH prelaminar schisis.
Data on vaccine immunogenicity against SARS-CoV-2 are needed for the 40 million people globally living with HIV who might have less functional immunity and more associated comorbidities than the general population. We aimed to explore safety and immunogenicity of the ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 (AZD1222) vaccine in people with HIV.

In this single-arm open-label vaccination substudy within the protocol of the larger phase 2/3 trial COV002, adults aged 18-55 years with HIV were enrolled at two HIV clinics in London, UK. Eligible participants were required to be on antiretroviral therapy (ART), with undetectable plasma HIV viral loads (<50 copies per mL), and CD4 counts of more than 350 cells per μL. A prime-boost regimen of ChAdOx1 nCoV-19, with two doses was given 4-6 weeks apart. The primary outcomes for this substudy were safety and reactogenicity of the vaccine, as determined by serious adverse events and solicited local and systemic reactions. The surgical team attempted multiple procedures including 2 failed total temporomandibular joint replacements and a myocutaneous vascularized free flap. This case demonstrates the potential for postoperative complications in patients with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
Meeting with local needs of low- and middle-income countries during maxillofacial humanitarian mission is not easy. This article aimed to report on 5years of experience in humanitarian maxillofacial surgery missions. In addition, several key points for best practices and meeting the medical needs of local populations are discussed.

In this retrospective case series, all medical charts of patients managed during humanitarian maxillofacial surgery missions organized within the department of maxillofacial surgery of Le Dantec Hospital (Senegal) were analyzed. Disease characteristics, treatments modality, and outcomes were reviewed. Moreover, missions planning and costs were studied.

Between 2015 and2018, 5 humanitarian missions were organized totalizing 177 patients, one-third of which were treated surgically. Tumors (35%) and sequelae from previous surgeries, cancrum oris or trauma (24%) were the most frequently treated disorders. Most patients were treated with free flap reconstructions (35%). Postoperatnd ensuring mutual respect with the locals. Frequent self-evaluation and long-term mission sustainability are critical. Finally, mission costs should be evaluated.Oil-based contrast medium agents (Iofendylate) are cleared from cerebrospinal fluid very slowly. But it may remain within the tissues of the central nervous system. These substances, which were used for purposes such as myelography, cisternography, and ventriculography approximately 70 years ago and were replaced by water-soluble agents after thirty years, can rarely be detected incidentally. In this report, by presenting the intracranial radiopacities seen in 2 patients, it is aimed to increase awareness that these myeloid residues, which are rarely seen in panoramic radiography, can be diagnosed by clinicians.
Head and neck cancers (HNC) are among the most common malignancies in the United States and are a significant cause of morbidity and mortality. Traditional risk factors for HNC include tobacco, alcohol, and Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infection. Geographic location has also been shown to play a role, whether directly or indirectly. The purpose of this study was to describe the incidence, mortality and geographic variability of HNC within the United States between 1990 and 2017.

The Global Burden of Diseases Study 2017, which models incidence and mortality, was used to obtain incidence and mortality data for "lip and oral cavity cancer", "nasopharynx cancer", "other pharynx cancer" (tonsil, oropharynx, and hypopharynx) and "larynx cancer" for the United States between 1990 and 2017.

The overall incidence rate of HNC increased (annual percent change (APC) = 0.23. Cyclopamine 95% CI 0.1-0.3) from 1990 through 2017 while overall mortality decreased (APC = -0.37. 95% CI -0.4 to -0.3). The anatomic sub-site which saw the largest increase in incidence was "other pharynx" (APC=1.07. 95% CI 0.9-1.2). In 2017, those in the West had the lowest incidence while those in the South had the highest (15.7 and 20.8 per 100,000 individuals, respectively).

The incidence of HNC in the United States increased between 1990 and 2017. This was driven by larger increases in those sites more prone to HPV-related HNC. While there exists geographic variability in the burden of this disease, additional studies are needed to further understand the impact of patient-specific factors.
