Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are increasingly capable, acing our tests of cleaning and tackling a variety of floor types. Find models that allow you to choose between several modes, utilize their charging dock to self-empty, and clean up stairs.
Many of the best models work with your smartphone. Look for an application that lets you save maps, set schedules and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combinations on the market. It uses lidar for navigation and creates maps of rooms and floors.
When I tested the S1, it was able to map our downstairs, which is home to linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It was capable of driving close to walls and even over raised thresholds without issue. However, it had some difficulty getting down the stairs in one pass. The S1 performed admirably in cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and lifted itself when it reached carpets or rug.
Prior to each mopping session the docking station of the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and refills its water tank onboard with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water for deep cleaning. The S1 water tank is able to hold up to 12 mopping sessions, however this will differ dependent on how often you use the mop.
The S1 requires regular maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. You'll need to periodically rinse out the dirty tank to avoid it becoming blocked. You'll also need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to prevent them from getting clogged by dust or dirt. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs' all-in-one robot vacuum and mop is an efficient solution for your cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum has 8,700Pa suction power and comes with many innovative features including voice control and smart path planning that cleans around furniture and eliminates obstacles. The mopping feature is impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor, instead of simply moving the pad across it. Mops can also be cleaned and dried at the base station, if needed.
This robot combo is easy to install and use, with a clear interface that guides you through the procedure. It comes with a rechargeable hand vacuum for those areas that the robot can't reach, as well as two water tanks that are automatically emptied and replenished whenever needed. It has a variety of useful settings that allow you to fine tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does well at vacuuming, with a strong suction that easily removes most of the debris, and even smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are quite good, though it could get stuck on small mats and rugs in my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries within the app). The mopping capabilities are quite good as well, with two spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub floors instead of simply dragging the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station as required. The mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year and their new top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-off maintenance which makes it a strong contender for our best robot vacuum and mop list. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure an effective, customized cleaning is completed.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up fine and large debris from hard floors as well as carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests well while avoiding pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by a side brush that automatically extends to reach hard-to-reach corners, and an extendable mop pad that is placed along baseboards.
Its navigation system is intelligent that can navigate tight spaces and negotiating the stairs without a hitch. It can move from one room to another without having to change direction. This is a great feature for homes that have multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than that of some competitors and leaves a large space around obstacles. This could lead to missed spots.
The app's interface is intuitive and easy to use. It should be simple to use for novice and experienced users. The app allows you to plan and manage cleanings, change suction power and mopping settings, view 2D and 3D maps, and much more. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get real-time video supervision. However, you will require a stable Wi-Fi connection to operate it via the app as well as external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
Robot vacuums are fantastic at removing dirt and debris but they aren't able to reach all dust. This is why it's important to use your regular vacuum at least once a week, especially to remove dust from corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. robot vacuum reviews 's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums as well as mops, is designed to do exactly that. It's easy to connect it to your Wi-Fi at home network and is compatible with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more convenient addition to your daily cleaning routine.
The Q5 is an unadorned version of the company's more pricier S-series models, including the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it's cheaper since it does not have mopping capabilities and comes with an aluminum body.
Even though it's not able to clean your floors, the Q5 still offers the most impressive mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robot at this price. It has a strong suction of 5500Pa, and an automatic empty system that means you don't have to empty the bin manually each time. It has a smart app that lets you schedule cleanings and determine the floor type. It also has an automatic water tank filling system and washing system that is hands-free.
The mops are also quite impressive, with 2700Pa of power to tackle dust, dirt, and pet hair on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is one of the few robots we tested that didn't show any problems with carpets with high piles or area rug, but it was unable to clean up cat litter or cable tangles that's not a surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the quietest robovacs we've tested. It also utilizes a unique system to map your home, which allows it to get into places that other vacuums can't reach. It also collects more dust in a larger bin, so you don't have to empty it as frequently. It also has washable filters, which can further cut costs. The robot can also recognize carpets and increase suction if needed. The app also lets you to mark off areas you want to stay clear of, which is a nice feature.
