The SARS-CoV-2 (or COVID-19) pandemic has been propagating since December 2019, inducing a drastic increase in the prevalence of anxious and depressive disorders in the general population. Psychological trauma can partly explain these disorders. However, since psychiatric disorders also have an immuno-inflammatory component, the direct effects of the virus on the host's immune system, with a marked inflammatory response, but also the secondary inflammation to these psychosocial stressors, may cause the apparition or the worsening of psychiatric disorders. We describe here the probable immunopsychiatric consequences of the SARS-CoV-2pandemic, to delineate possible screening actions and care that could be planned.
Data from previous pandemics, and existing data on the psychopathological consequences of the SARS-CoV-2pandemic, allowed us to review the possible immunopsychiatric consequences of the SARS-CoV-2pandemic, on the gestational environment, with the risk of consecutive neurodevelopmental disorders foble neurodevelopmental disorders.
In this context, preventive measures and specialized care are necessary. Thus, it is important to propose a close follow-up to the individuals who have been infected by the virus, in order to set up the earliest care possible. Likewise, in pregnant women, screening of mood disorders during the pregnancy or the postpartum period must be facilitated. selleck compound The follow-up of the babies born during the pandemic must be strengthened to screen and care for possible neurodevelopmental disorders.
This article aims to verify whether a cognitive treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) by cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) adapted to elderly subjects can lead to long-term improvement in symptomatology and quality of life.
We present a longitudinal study of 32 subjects over the age of 65 years, with no cognitive impairment or mild impairment, residing in two nursing homes. We compare a target group (n=16) with PTSD treated with 20 CBT sessions and a control group (n=16) with PTSD without symptom treatment. The two groups are compared in four stages (T1) before treatment of the target group's PTSD, (T2) after treatment of PTSD, (T3) after six months of follow-up and (T4) after 18 months of follow-up. The absence of cognitive impairment is verified with the MMSE. The evolution of PTSD is monitored with the CAPS. The evolution of the quality of life of the subjects in the target group is verified with the ADRQL.
If both groups show elevated PTSD symptoms at the beginning of the study (T1), the signs of PTSD disappear for the target group at the end of treatment (T2) at the same time as quality of life improves (scores more than doubled). These improvements continue for more than 18 months (T4). Conversely, the control group retains high PTSD symptoms, without significant decrease over time.
The treatment of PTSD by cognitive-behavioural therapy adapted to elderly people without cognitive impairment, or with mild cognitive or memory disorders, allows for a lasting disappearance of symptoms and an improvement in quality of life.

In total, 14% to 30% of individuals with gambling disorder engage in illegal acts to finance such behavior. This clinical situation could be explained by higher gambling severity, associated substance use disorder, antisocial personality disorder and economic factors (debts, financial problems). The present work focuses, more broadly, on criminal responsibility of problematic gamblers.
We will discuss this question through different typical situations that medical experts of criminal responsibility may have to face. We will address each of the following cases 1) isolated problematic gambling; 2) problematic gambling associated with antisocial personality disorder; 3) problematic gambling associated with a manic episode; 4) problematic gambling associated with substance use disorders; and 5) problematic gambling associated wiht dopamine agonist treatment.
Isolated problematic gambling, (not associated with any psychiatric or addictive disorder) it seems consensual that individuals committing infractions scernment or his ability to control his actions yielding to penal non-responsibility. Problematic gambling associated with dopamine agonist treatment Criminal responsibility for dopamine agonist induced gambling related illegal acts is still controversial. Nevertheless, people committing an infraction linked to associated dementia or dopamine agonist induced mania should be considered as criminally non-responsible.
Some clinical dimensions such as craving intensity, compulsivity, disorder's severity, volitional control might be forensic targets to assess criminal responsibility.

Suicide is the second leading cause of death among adolescents. Boys are more affected than girls, although they report fewer suicide attempts and rely less on care. Few studies have examined the experience of suicidal thoughts and behavior among young boys. In order to improve their health care, it is necessary to consider the socio-cultural aspects and the construction of the meaning given by adolescent boys to suicidal behaviors in France.
This is a qualitative, complementary and inductive study. All teens included have presented suicidal thoughts in the months preceding the inclusion. The existence of self-mutilation and/or suicidal act is sought but is not included within the criteria of inclusion, the various contexts will enrich the data. Semi-structured interviews are transcribed and analyzed by the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis.
Ten adolescents between 14and 20years old were included in the study. Three axes of experience emerge the relationship to oneself, the relationship to the other, the relationship to death.
