Introduction Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common childhood cancer with one of the highest survival rates. Long-term complications that occur after intensive oncological treatment often impair normal daily functioning. However, existing data on peripheral nervous system condition in ALL survivors remain conflicting. Materials and Methods The study group consisted of 215 ALL survivors. Patients were treated with New York (NY, n = 45), previous modified Berlin-Frankfurt-Münster (pBFM, n = 64), and BFM95 (n = 106) protocols. Time elapsed between the end of the treatment and the control examination varied from 0.3 to 20.9 years. The analyzed patients underwent a neurophysiological analysis with electroneurography (ENG) of motor (median and peroneal) and sensory (median and sural) nerves as well as electromyography (EMG) of tibialis anterior, vastus lateralis, and interosseous I muscles. To estimate the influence of radiotherapy on recorded neurophysiological responses, a joint analysis of NY, andtailed neurophysiological analysis in long-term childhood ALL survivors has shown generalized abnormalities in registered parameters. To our knowledge, the current study is the largest and one of the most comprehensive ones among those examining disturbances in ENG and EMG in this group of patients. Moreover, we are the first ones to demonstrate the negative influence of radiotherapy on peripheral nerve conduction parameters.Background Educational institutions have been closed in Bangladesh due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and board exams like Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams, as well as university admission exams have been suspended. Secondary school students have been promoted based on past performance. As the time has come for students to take admission into universities, educational authorities must make decisions about the logistical and public health arrangements that could allow universities to conduct admission exams. Design and methods The public health and lockdown policies were analyzed during the timeframe of 25th March to 15th October. Time series models of the trend of COVID-19 were prepared for the near future using the ARIMA technique, for the lockdown phase and the post lockdown phase. This was evaluated in juxtaposition with the restrictions relating to travel, work, schools, public gatherings, face masks etc. The models were then used to forecast positivity rates for two weeks into the future. Results The curve was not bent during the strict lockdown phase, but the post lockdown phase eventually saw a decline in positivity rates. The best models selected were ARIMA(0,1,7) for the lockdown stage, and ARIMA(7,1,0) for the post lockdown stage. However, the resumption of work and domestic travel has not prevented the control of the spread of the disease. Therefore, to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic, architects, urban planners, and designers have already switched their attention to visualizing the post-pandemic era; however, there are inadequate studies on how the antivirus-built environment will look. Accordingly, this study aims to reflect on perceptions of the work environment during the COVID-19 pandemic in Saudi Arabia. Design and Methods An online questionnaire consisting of five questions was designed to collect the data and was distributed via SurveyMonkey in August 2020. Research ethics approval was sought from the institutional review board. A total of 87 respondents participated in this study. Results The result shows that 57.83% of respondents were female and 42.17% were male. The majority of the respondents were from the public sector (49.40% - public sector, 43.37% - private sector, and 7.23% - other sectors). Overall, female participants were more concerned about work environments during the pandemic. Most of the participants were working in individual offices. Conclusion The virus does not discriminate by gender. In order to respond effectively to the crisis, we need a whole-society approach to understand its differential impact on women and men. The findings will encourage policymakers and business owners to respond to the areas highlighted in this study as causing concern such as elevators, restrooms, and common areas.Background Like many international universities and institutions of higher education that have shifted the entire educational system from the traditional face-to-face education model to distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, universities in Saudi Arabia have expended great effort to change the behavior of educators and students to accommodate the transition. This rapid shift has had a significant impact on students, especially in programs such as interior design, in which different practical courses are taught along with the theoretical ones. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the benefits and challenges senior interior design students experienced while taking their classes online. Design and Methods The current paper has adopted a qualitative approach for assessing the data obtained. Semi-structured interview was used to collect all the needed information regarding participants' opinions about distance learning. Results Increased time to spend on assignments, reduction of costs to the student, and improvement in achievement of learning outcomes were the three main benefits students reported in their experience of distance learning. On the other hand, technical issues, changes in grade distribution, and changes in project types were identified as student concerns. Although students found many advantages in communicating with others remotely, some issues arose. Conclusions Students expressed a preference for the hybrid learning method, or at least for having their exams, juries, and presentations on campus in person, not remotely.
