The patient sustained no trauma, was not taking anticoagulants and had no bleeding disorder. Rapid progression in the size of the pseudotumour caused significant symptoms and functional impairment. Surgical excision was recommended by a national specialist centre, but with conservative management, significant regression of the pseudotumour was noted, with complete resolution of symptoms. This case is the first report of haemorrhage into a pseudotumour, which is an important differential and can be managed non-operatively.Benign multicystic peritoneal mesothelioma (BMPM) is a rare neoplasm of the abdominal mesothelium (i.e., peritoneum, mesentery, and omentum). We present the case of a 74-year-old male who presented with a right paracolic gutter fluid collection and cystic mass. The patient underwent diagnostic laparoscopy with resection of the mass. The final pathology revealed BMPM. The pathogenesis may have been related to longstanding diverticular disease, which could prove to be an underrecognized risk factor for the development of BMPM. Therefore, this case suggests a broadened differential diagnosis to include BMPM in specific cases of pre-operatively diagnosed colonic masses. While potentially life-changing for individuals with Parkinson's disease, characterization of adverse events for these DBS devices have not yet been systematically organized. Therefore, the goal of this study was to characterize reported complications of DBS devices reported to the Food & Drug Administration over the last 10 years. Methods The Manufacturer and User Facility Device Experience (MAUDE) database was utilized to retrieve entries reported under "Stimulator, Electrical, Implanted, For Parkinsonian Symptoms" between July 31, 2010 and August 1, 2020. After removing duplicate entries, each unique adverse event reported was sorted into complication categories based on the entries' provided narrative description. Glioblastoma is one of the most aggressive tumours despite all advanced therapies. We aimed to investigate the correlation between qualitative markers of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging and vascularity in different tumour regions and elucidate their potential in predicting recurrence.

Radiological markers of vascularity as wash-in rate, washout rate, and capillary time to peak in different single tumour regions were extracted for all glioblastoma patients before being surgically resected using preoperative dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI). Tissue samples were obtained from different intratumoral regions and peritumoral oedema and evaluated for the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF).

Two hundred sixty individuals were included in the final analysis, with 180 dead ones and 80 survivors. Radio- and chemo-therapy were received by all surviving patients and 77.8% (n= 140) of the dead ones. The mean time to peak, in seconds, was longest at the peritumoral oedema region (71.7±23.5), followed by the tumour's necrotic centre (50.0±28.5) and its periphery (2.9±1.8). The expression of VEGF at the peritumoral edema region was inversely correlated to the washout rate at the periphery (r= -0.66; P-value= 0.014) and positively correlated to peritumoral TTP (r= 0.94; P-value< 0.001).
