15 Things You're Not Sure Of About Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances. His main focus is mopping robots and vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are a great choice for those who want to take mopping off their to-do list. They have impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance, and some wash and refill their mopping pads for a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other models on this list, which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. best budget robot vacuum comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes when cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through cleaning.

It is very quick and does a great job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single sweep. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to pick up dirt as well as pet hair and poop with ease. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the double side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as impressive. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to sweep larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and fallen books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to install and works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum solely to mop it is important to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a range of features.

The device comes with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and methodically. This leads to an efficient, consistent clean that is also quite quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. These include corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach areas. They also have a stretchy side brush that can extend to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads can be dried and washed to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the odors.

Another feature worth mentioning is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction level and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also set the number of passes it should make, which will determine how quickly the device can move through your home. You can also turn off the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and carpets.

The device comes with a high price tag but has a variety of innovative features. However, it's important to note that it incurs periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For instance the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hrs, and the mop pads must be replaced every one to three month.

This robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and includes a wide range of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has an energy button that doubles as the 'Clean button' and a 'Home button that allows it to go home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal option for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life make it simple to keep a clean home with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a two-in-one mop and vacuum. It is able to perform vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two modules that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping module that has microfiber pads. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the water tank.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature was its accurate floorplan map, which it uses to create a route when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up pet hair. It was able to capture many of the hair shed by our cats, and even made it into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low, and there were some lovely jingles that signal that it was starting and working towards its goal.

The biggest flaws were its simplistic app and the requirement to switch out the modules when switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app can't store multiple maps. This can be an issue if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot that can do both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that can be found in our review, but it has some distinct features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's main draw is its enormous dock, which doubles as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a cleaning sink and a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.

The base has a couple of buttons for control that let you manually start cleaning tasks, recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it gets entangled in a hazard like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It will not work until you remove it manually. This was a rare occurrence however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its application.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't too bad except for the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a huge contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxy models.
