It was able to drive close to walls without colliding with them, and even managed to traverse thresholds for rooms that are raised without issue, though it occasionally had trouble navigating down the stairs in one pass. The S1 also did an excellent job of cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop smoothly on its flat side against the floor and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or rugs.

After every mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and fills up its water tank onboard with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock provides an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1's tank of water holds enough water for around 12 cleaning sessions before it needs to be emptied, though this will vary depending on how much you use the mop.
