The incidence (%), mean relative abundance, and maximum relative abundance (nematodes per 100 cm3 of soil) of the 10 different PPN genera detected in 32 vegetable crops in bare ground and plastic bed cropping systems include Meloidogyne spp. (67.3%; mean, 292; maximum, 14,144), Nanidorus spp. (49.4%; mean, 6; maximum, 136), Mesocriconema spp. (39.6%; mean, 17; maximum, 340), Helicotylenchus spp. (31.6%; mean, 20; maximum, 1152), Pratylenchus spp. (20.1%; mean, 2; maximum, 398), Rotylenchulus spp. (5.9%; mean, 1; maximum, 116), Hoplolaimus spp. (12.6%; mean, 1; maximum, 78), Heterodera spp. (2.3%; mean, less then 1; maximum, 60), Tylenchorhynchus spp. (0.9%; mean, less then 1; maximum, 12), and Xiphinema spp. (0.2%; mean, less then 1; maximum, 2). A nonmetric multidimensional scaling analysis indicated that most environmental and geological factors (i.e., longitude, precipitation, soil moisture, sand and silt content, and soil electrical conductivity) had no apparent relationship with nematode counts, except for latitude, soil pH, and temperature. The multirank permutation procedure followed by indicator species analysis and nonparametric Kruskal-Wallis analysis of variance indicated that Meloidogyne spp. are the predominant PPN associated with plastic beds in the south region sampled. The south region consisted mainly of commercial fields that rotated multiple vegetables crops through the same plastic beds. All other PPNs were associated with bare ground beds in the north region that are commonly rotated with row crops. This study validates that Meloidogyne spp. are the most important PPN in vegetable fields of southern Georgia and suggests that cropping systems have a greater effect on PPN population dynamics than the environment.Pears (Pyrus pylifolia L.) are cultivated nationwide as one of the most economically important fruit trees in Korea. At the end of October 2019, bleeding canker was observed in a pear orchard located in Naju, Jeonnam Province (34°53'50.54″ N, 126°39'00.32″ E). The canker was observed on trunks and branches of two 25-year-old trees, and the diseased trunks and branches displayed partial die-back or complete death. When the bark was peeled off from the diseased trunks or branches, brown spots or red streaks were found in the trees. Bacterial ooze showed a rusty color and the lesion was sap-filled with a yeasty smell. Trunks displaying bleeding symptoms were collected from two trees. Infected bark tissues (3 × 3 mm) from the samples were immersed in 70% ethanol for 1 minute, rinsed three times in sterilized water, ground to fine powder using a mortar and pestle, and suspended in sterilized water. After streaking each suspension on Luria-Bertani (LB) agar, the plates were incubated at 25°C without light for 2 dayoculated branches and buds in a plastic bag were placed in a 30℃ incubator without light for 2 days (Chen et al. 2020). Both colorless and transparent bacterial ooze and typical bleeding canker were observed on both branches and buds at 3 and 2 weeks post inoculation, respectively. No symptoms were observed on control branches and buds. This pathogenicity assay was conducted three times. We reisolated three colonies from samples displaying the typical symptoms and checked the identity of one by sequencing the dnaX locus. Dickeya fangzhongdai has been reported to cause bleeding canker on pears in China (Tian et al. 2016; Chen et al. 2020). This study will contribute to facilitate identification and control strategies of this disease in Korea. This is the first report of D. fangzhongdai causing bleeding canker on pears in Korea.
The index of microcirculatory resistance (IMR) of the infarct-related artery and left ventricular end-diastolic pressure (LVEDP) are acute, prognostic biomarkers in patients undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention. The clinical significance of IMR and LVEDP in combination is unknown.
IMR and LVEDP were prospectively measured in a prespecified substudy of the T-TIME clinical trial (Trial of Low Dose Adjunctive Alteplase During Primary PCI). IMR was measured using a pressure- and temperature-sensing guidewire following percutaneous coronary intervention. Prognostically established thresholds for IMR (>32) and LVEDP (>18 mm Hg) were predefined. Contrast-enhanced cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (1.5 Tesla) was acquired 2 to 7 days and 3 months postmyocardial infarction. The primary end point was major adverse cardiac events, defined as cardiac death/nonfatal myocardial infarction/heart failure hospitalization at 1 year.
IMR and LVEDP were both measured in 131 patients (mean ageet reclassification improvement for detecting major adverse cardiac events was 50.6% (95% CI, 2.7-98.2;
=0.033) when LVEDP>18 was added to IMR>32.

Survivors of childhood cancer often experience treatment-related chronic health conditions. Given its vast population, China shares a large proportion of the global childhood cancer burden. Yet, screening and treatment of late effects in survivors of childhood cancer remain underaddressed in most regions of China. This study aimed to identify high-priority late effects for harmonizing screening guidelines within the Chinese Children's Cancer Group (CCCG), as well as barriers and enablers of the implementation of surveillance recommendations in local practice.
To establish clinical consensus, 12 expert panelists who represent major institutions within the CCCG completed a Delphi survey and participated in a focus group discussion. The survey solicited ratings of the prevalence, severity, and priority for screening of 45 late effects. Major themes identified from the focus group were analyzed using thematic analysis.
The Delphi survey identified eight high-priority late effects for harmonization within CCCG osteonecrosis, osteoporosis, left ventricular dysfunction, secondary brain tumors, treatment-related myeloid leukemia, gonadal dysfunction, growth hormone deficiency, and neurocognitive deficits.
