Challenging workplace situations such as bullying, harassment, depression, suicide and fatigue exist in health care. The performing arts can generate dialogue and engagement with these difficult issues. This study evaluates a workshop for health care students that used filmed vignettes from a verbatim theatre play that used real stories of such situations. The workshop aimed to improve health professional students' confidence in seeking help for depression, addressing mistreatment, understanding mandatory reporting laws and the impact of driver fatigue.

Two workshops were held one with a mixture of professions, including nursing, medical and allied health students, and the other with medical students only. Participants completed questionnaires before and after each workshop, responding to four Likert questions on understanding and confidence about the issues discussed and free-text responses about the perceived value of the workshop.

Sixty-five people took part in the workshops, with a 100% response rat reduction after the workshop. Perhaps this resulted from greater appreciation of the complexities of these issues. Searching for specific gene expression changes during the development of GC could help identify potential therapy targets. We previously showed that the histone code reader SPIN1 may act as an oncogene in breast cancer. At present, the biological function and regulation of SPIN1 in GC remain unclear. Here, we demonstrate that SPIN1 is upregulated in GC tissues, compared with nontumorous gastric tissues. Increased expression of SPIN1 is closely associated with poor prognosis for patients with GC. Mechanically, SPIN1 sustains GC cell proliferation via activation of the MDM2-p21-E2F1 signaling pathway by binding to H3K4me3 of the MDM2 promoter region. Interestingly, E2F1 could directly bind to the SPIN1 promoter and activate its transcription, thus forming a positive feedback loop. Our data suggest that SPIN1 plays an important role in the development of GC and could be used as a promising prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for GC.
Data on socioeconomic-related differences in heart failure (HF) care are sparse. Inequality in care may potentially contribute to a poor clinical outcome. We examined socioeconomic-related differences in quality of HF care among patients with incident HF with reduced ejection fraction (EF) (HFrEF).

We conducted a nationwide population-based cohort study among patients with HFrEF (EF ≤40%) registered from January 2008 to October 2015 in the Danish Heart Failure Registry, a nationwide registry of patients with a first-time primary HF diagnosis. Early childhood caries (ECC) is highly prevalent with significant long-term consequences. Parents are primarily responsible for the oral health practices of their children. Parents' health beliefs, attitudes, and cultural factors influence oral health practices.

To explore and understand the perceptions and challenges faced by the parents of the children with ECC in performing routine oral hygiene practices for their children.

We conducted a qualitative description study with the parents of children with ECC. Data were collected through five focus groups using culturally appropriate, semi-structured, open-ended questions and probes. Focus groups were audiotaped, and field notes were taken, which were transcribed verbatim after each focus group session. Data were analyzed using content analyses.

A vast majority of the participants were aware of the significance of oral hygiene. However, they faced challenges in implementing proper home hygiene practices at home and lacked knowledge about the type of toothpaste and toothbrush to be used for their children.
