Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are getting more powerful. They have passed our tests for cleaning, and are able to handle different floors. Select models that allow you to select between a variety of modes, including self-emptying and clean stairs.
Many of the top models work with your smartphone. Check for an app that allows you to save maps, create schedules and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos on the market. It uses lidar to navigate, create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set schedules and alter the S1's behaviour.
The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which includes flooring in the kitchen, dining area, and bathrooms and a carpet in the middle and a large area. It was able to drive right up to walls without colliding with them, and even managed to traverse thresholds for rooms that are raised without problem, but it sometimes struggled to get down stairs in a single pass. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. Its mop moved smoothly on its flat side and lifted itself when it reached carpets or rugs.
The docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated water prior to every mopping session. The dock provides a deep-cleaning solution to the water. The S1's water tank can hold enough for about 12 cleaning sessions before it has to be empty, but it will differ based on how much you use the mop.
The S1 requires periodic maintenance, just like other 2-in-1 robots. In order to do this, you'll have to clean the dirty water tank occasionally to avoid it from clogging. You'll also need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to prevent them from getting clogged by dust or dirt. But, overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, especially compared to other combinations that require more hands-on maintenance.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop is a powerful solution to your cleaning needs. The robot vacuum is rated at 8700Pa of suction and comes with a number of unique features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that eliminates obstacles and cleans furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive. Rotating mop pads actually lift floors and scrub it instead of simply dragging a pad across the surface. The mops are also cleaned and dried at the base station, as needed.
The robot is simple to install and use, with a clear interface that guides you through the process. It also includes a hand vacuum that can be utilized to clean those difficult to reach areas that the robot cannot reach. There are also two water tanks that can be automatically filled or empty. It comes with a variety of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, with strong suction that easily removes most of the debris, and even smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also pretty good, although it could get stuck on small area mats and rugs around my home (which you can mitigate by defining virtual boundaries in the app). The mopping capabilities are quite excellent, too, with a pair of spin mop heads that actually lift and scrub floors, as opposed to simply dragging the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as needed. The mops can also be filled at the top of the station if they are required.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their new flagship model has even more impressive features. It boasts fantastic cleaning results and hands-off maintenance which makes it a strong contender on our top robot vacuum and mop list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush ensure a thorough, customised clean.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up fine and large debris from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned our test's most soiled areas efficiently, while eliminating pet hairs that are tangled and other mess. The sweeping capability of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that extends to get into areas that are difficult to reach and mop pads that extend across baseboards.
Its navigation is nimble that can navigate tight spaces and negotiating stairs without skipping a beat. It can move from one room to another without having to reverse direction. This is a great feature for large homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than the ones of other competitors, and leaves a huge space between obstacles. This could lead to missing spots.
The interface of the app is simple and easy to use. It should be easy to use for novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and control cleanings. You can also adjust suction power, mop settings, and look up 3-D and 2-D maps. It can be controlled through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri, allowing you to keep an eye on its progress from any location. You can even remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You'll need a stable Wi-Fi connection to operate it via the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum does a great job of picking up dirt and debris however, it's not able to be able to reach every bit of dust. It's essential to clean your home regularly, once a week. This is especially true for dust that collects in corners, on shelves, and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot designed to accomplish exactly that. It's easy to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network and integrates with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more convenient addition to your daily cleaning routine.
The Q5 is an unadorned version of the company's expensive S-series models, which include the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It is equipped with a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but cuts down on price by eliminating mopping functions and using a lower-cost plastic body.
Despite losing the ability to wipe your floors, the Q5 still has some of the best mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robot in this price range. It's got a powerful suction power of 5500Pa and an automatic emptying system, which means you don't need to manually empty the bin every time. It comes with a smart app which allows you to schedule cleaning and determine the floor type. It also comes with an automatic water tank filling system and washing system for hands-free operation.
Its mops also impress, with a 2700Pa power to take on pet hair and dirt on carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't have any trouble with high-pile carpets and area carpets, but it didn't remove cables or kitty litter and cable tangles, which isn't a surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the quietest robovacs we've tested. It also has a unique method to map your home this allows it to get into the corners and tight spaces that other vacuums are unable to reach. It also stores dust in a larger bin which means you need to empty it less often. best inexpensive robot vacuum has washable filters which can further cut costs. The robot can recognize carpets, and increase suction if necessary. The app allows you to mark off areas that you want it to stay clear of and is a great feature.
