Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've ever thought of purchase a robot vacuum, now is the time. CNET's best-rated models will be on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba J7+, IRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. This uses AI to detect objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you a picture of an object it encounters so you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills effortlessly, leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't clean in areas you don't would like. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop with your voice.
Its design is also a step above the competition with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robotic rather than a loud, loud one. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt removal System also self-empties, which can cut down on cleaning time.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even could capture sand and small gravel which other robots couldn't do. And all of this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.
Although it's not as sophisticated as the Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs The j7+ is still a solid option for those who require both mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to know if they are working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors then a hybrid is the ideal choice. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. These bots also come with many additional features like smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but they often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock is one of our most loved robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. This is the least expensive model in their auto-empty line. Although it might not have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories), it's still an excellent choice when you're willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles like tables and walls, which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation system is excellent, with few misses along walls or in corners.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled with a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go zones, alter your home map, or change the room's label.
If you choose to purchase the Q5+, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make this robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once in place it can be accomplished without difficulty. It has a large LCD screen that is very useful in setting up schedules and changing settings. This feature isn't required for the majority of people, but it can help effectively keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively clever in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and features are among the top available however it's expensive.
It's a small base station that looks beautiful and is easily hidden when not in use. The station's main selling point is that it can automate many tasks, chores and functions that other robots would leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot fully charged and clean.
And its vacuuming is impressive, too. It's the only robovac that I've tried that does well at picking up debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It also can't climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a docking station to create a clean zone for plush carpets.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need a vacuum robot that can do it all.
If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are other options available. Many of the eufy models cost considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers the same experience in the app, but with more features like stair climbing, a full-function dock, and superior overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, a Anker company has a proven track record of making robot vacuums that strike a good balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. robotvacuummops.com to set up, simply attach one of the side brushes and then turn it on. Then connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock will need to be located near an outlet with plenty of space to move.
The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it is able to fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is less flashy than some of the rival models, with sleek black finishes and three buttons that are physical such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in an arc for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what separates it from its rivals. It uses an integrated map to draw an image of the unmovable items that are in its path. It remembers what it has already cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left.
The sleek G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower recurring costs. It is faster to charge, has a similar battery life, and is more effective on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It has a bigger dust bin that does not require the same amount of emptying. It also has boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and it struggles less with bulky materials such as cereal.
