OBJECTIVE to identify funding demands in the light of CNPq's knowledge subareas, as well as data on researchers and research groups, their distribution in the regions and their approximation with health research priorities of the Ministry of Health and the new knowledge tree framework of the area. METHOD a descriptive study developed with data from 2009 to 2014 about researchers, funding and research areas provided by the Diretoria de Ciências Agrárias Biológicas e Saúde (Department of Agriculture, Biology and Health Sciences). RESULTS there is a concentration of researchers and research groups in the Southeast region. The grants could be classified in the current framework of knowledge areas. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS this analysis enabled visualizing subarea demands and relevance of changing the nomenclature of the classification of knowledge framework in order to represent the scientific production generated in the nursing area.OBJECTIVE to assess the effects of an intervention based on the Theater of the Oppressed in reducing school bullying. METHOD a quasi-experimental study with 232 first-year high school students from two public schools in the city of Cuiabá, Mato Grosso State, Brazil. An intervention was performed with the Theater of the Oppressed, a theatrical methodology created by Augusto Boal and inspired by Paulo Freire's "Pedagogy of the Oppressed", in which one school composed the intervention group, and another school, the comparison group. Both groups were assessed for involvement in bullying situations before and after intervention. For data analysis, Poisson Regression models with random effect were used. RESULTS intervention group presented a significant decrease in direct victimization (physical and verbal aggression). CONCLUSION the Theater of the Oppressed represents an important strategy in reducing bullying victimization among school adolescents.OBJECTIVE to describe risk management implementation in the safety of patients with mental disorders through action research. METHOD an action research carried out with a multidisciplinary team from a reference hospital in mental health in Southeast Brazil. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS this action research allowed a collective discussion by the whole multidisciplinary team, enabling strategy drafting for risk management implementation and improvement of care quality in the safety of patients with mental disorders at the study site.OBJECTIVE To identify in the literature how Middle-Range Theories (MRT) are being developed in Nursing. METHOD Integrative review on the databases Lilacs (Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences), Scopus, Cinahl (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature), Web of Science and PubMed portal, using the keywords middle range theory and nursing, as well its Portuguese correspondents (Lilacs), and the Boolean operator AND. The sample included 25 articles. RESULTS All articles presented concepts related to MRT. Selleck NGI-1 Most developed a synthesis picture. Some theories have formulated specific propositions, hypotheses, and names. Only 16 articles cited the methodological framework, while 22 used theories or models for theoretical foundation and 11 carried out literature reviews. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS The development of MRT included the presentation of fundamental concepts, synthesis, propositions, hypotheses and specific name. The MRT is recognized as a way of developing knowledge to guide the nursing practice.OBJECTIVE to analyze a Psychosocial Care Network structure, based on the compromise of its resources and meeting objectives and guidelines recommended in Ordinance 3,088/2011. METHOD an empirical, quantitative study with 123 primary care professionals, psychosocial and emergency care, who work at Western Network of the city of São Paulo. Questionnaires and statistical analysis were applied through the Exact Fisher's test with 5% significance considering p= less then 0.05. RESULTS there is compromise of physical resources in the absence of mental health beds in a general hospital (p=0.047); of technological resources in the lack of discussion forums (p=0.036); of human resources in number of teams (p=0.258); and of financial resources (p=0.159). Psychosocial care is the one that most meets the objectives and guidelines. CONCLUSION there are insufficient physical, technological, human, and financial resources for the work articulated in the three care modalities that are heterogeneous in terms of meeting the objectives and guidelines.OBJECTIVE To identify how nursing faculty perceive humanization at work; to describe the factors that enhance humanization and its implications on the health of nursing professors. Data were collected through sociodemographic questionnaire and the California Critical Thinking Skills Test. Intervention consisted in the creation of four concept maps. RESULTS Scores measured for overall critical thinking do not differed between the groups of both schools; however, positive aspects among them were found for skills of evaluation, induction, and inference.
