A whole new Muscle size Funeral associated with Cave Bears (Carnivora, Ursidae, Ursus kanivetz, Vereshchagin, 1963) through the Middle Urals.
A Gram-staining-negative, aerobic, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium with degradation ability of chitin, designated strain YD-1 T, was isolated from landfill soil sample collected in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, China. The growth of strain YD-1 T occurred optimally in the tryptone soy broth (TSB) with 1.0% NaCl at pH 7.0-8.0, 30 °C. Ubiquinone-8 (Q-8) was the predominant quinone. The polar lipids of strain YD-1 T consisted of diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylcholine, five glycolipids and four lipids. The major fatty acids were iso-C150 (30.7%), iso-C171ω9c (23.2%), iso-C110 (18.9%), iso-C110 3-OH (6.8%) and iso-C170 (5.9%). Phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that strain YD-1 T was affiliated to the genus Luteimonas with the highest similarity to Luteimonas marina KCTC 12327 T (97.3%), followed by Luteimonas aquatica DSM 22088 T (96.5%) and Luteimonas composti CCUG 53595 T (96.4%). The genomic DNA G + C content of strain YD-1 T was 71.8 mol%. Average nucleotide identity (ANI) and the digital DNA-DNA hybridizations (dDDH) for draft genomes between strain YD-1 T and Luteimonas marina KCTC 12327 T were 82.7% and 26.1%, respectively. On the basis of genotypic, phenotypic and chemotaxonomic data, strain YD-1 T is considered to represent a novel species to degrade chitin in the genus Luteimonas, for which the name Luteimonas wenzhouensis sp. nov. is proposed, with YD-1 T (= KCTC 72425 T = CCTCC AB 2019153 T) as the type strain.Systemic sclerosis is a rare chronic autoimmune disease with extensive microvascular injury, damage of endothelial cells, activation of immune responses, and progression of tissue fibrosis in the skin and various internal organs. According to epidemiological data, women's populations are more susceptible to systemic sclerosis than men. Until now, various therapeutic options are employed to manage the symptoms of the disease. Since stem cell-based treatments have developed as a novel approach to rescue from several autoimmune diseases, it seems that stem cells, especially mesenchymal stem cells as a powerful regenerative tool can also be advantageous for systemic sclerosis treatment via their remarkable properties including immunomodulatory and anti-fibrotic effects. Accordingly, we discuss the contemporary status and future perspectives of mesenchymal stem cell transplantation for systemic sclerosis.Primates display high efficiency in finding food in complex environments. Knowledge that many plant species produce fruit simultaneously, can help primates to anticipate fruit finding at the start of fruiting seasons. Knowledge of elapsed time can help primates decide when to revisit food trees to find ripened fruit and to return before competitors find these fruits. To investigate whether mandrills are able to learn time intervals of recurring food, we recorded the foraging choices of captive mandrills in a group setting. We used a procedure with renewable food rewards that could be searched for carrots and grapes, hidden underground in specific places with different renewal intervals (2 and 5 days, respectively). We monitored the first choice of location for individuals, if other individuals had not already searched at the same location, to exclude possible effects of individuals following others rather than relying on memory. Throughout the study, the mandrills became increasingly likely to first search at carrot locations on carrot days, while the probability of them searching at carrot locations decreased on days without carrot. Due to model instability, our results were inconclusive about an effect of grape days on the choice of the mandrills. Cues provided by conspecifics indicating the availability of simultaneously emerging food rewards did not affect the choice of the mandrills. We conclude that mandrills can take into account elapsed time in a foraging context. Thereby, this study indicates how mandrills can use temporal cognitive abilities to overcome temporal challenges of food-finding in a group setting.Intratympanic injection is a clinically used approach to locally deliver therapeutic molecules to the inner ear. Drug diffusion, at least in part, is presumed to occur through the round window membrane (RWM), one of the two openings to the inner ear. Previous studies in human temporal bones have identified a three-layered structure of the RWM with a thickness of 70-100 μm. find more This is considerably thicker than the RWM in rodents, which are mostly used to model RWM permeability and assess drug uptake. The sheep has been suggested as a large animal model for inner ear research given the similarities in structure and frequency range for hearing. Here, we report the structure of the sheep RWM. The RWM is anchored within the round window niche (average vertical diameter of 2.1 ± 0.3 mm and horizontal diameter of 2.3 ± 0.4 mm) and has a curvature that leans towards the scala tympani. The centre of the RWM is the thinnest (55-71 μm), with increasing thickness towards the edges ( less then  171 μm), where the RWM forms tight attachments to the surrounding bony niche. The layered RWM structure, including an outer epithelial layer, middle connective tissue and inner epithelial layer, was identified with cellular features such as wavy fibre bundles, melanocytes and blood vessels. An attached "meshwork structure" which extends over the cochlear aqueduct was seen, as in humans. The striking anatomical similarities between sheep and human RWM suggest that sheep may be evaluated as a more appropriate system to predict RWM permeability and drug delivery in humans than rodent models.Phytoremediation and bioremediation are eco-friendly methods of wastewater treatment that are widely used throughout the world to reduce anthropogenic water contamination. This study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of symbiotic bacteria in phytoremediation using two aquatic plants, Echinodorus cordifolius and Lepironia articulata, that were tested in sterilized and unsterilized groups. The results showed that unsterilized plants removed more phosphate, ammonium, nitrate and nitrite than the sterilized plants. In untreated and unsterilized E. cordifolius groups, the dominant bacterium was Calothrix (46.90 and 49.69%, respectively), which was higher than in the sterilized E. cordifolius group (38.88%). In untreated and unsterilized groups of L. articulata, Clostridium was a dominant bacterium. The proportion of Clostridium was much lower in the sterilized L. articulata group (1.31%) than in the untreated (13.71%) and unsterilized (49.02%) groups. Our results suggested that root-associated bacteria in E.
