Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry and wet messes in one time and without the need to switch between devices. They can also reduce space in comparison to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the easiest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking is simple, and the quick-start guide gets you running in no time. You'll have a the complete dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that mops up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops are spun at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a range of attachments and brushes, and an intuitive app that lets you pick the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you could decide to let the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen areas but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. The only drawback is that it tends to hit objects and walls at full speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning in the app will show you exactly what the robot has done, where it is moving, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
The docking station features a handy LCD screen that shows the need for maintenance, such as emptying debris and washing the dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time as well, with the mop being able to operate for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, while the vacuum is can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. You can view the entire cleaning information in the app, which is clearly laid out and is easy to comprehend although we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a vacuum and mop and vacuum clean when looking at a clean area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop is the most recent version. It's not like the model from last year this one has an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that allows it to pick up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.
As with the other two Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek angular design is striking, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which resumes the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child-lock and a home button to bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml of water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin automatically refills.
The only negative I discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if needed), it's a pain to take off the mount for manual washing. I've found that any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and that can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor battery life and component maintenance. However, you'll have to go through a few hurdles to enable voice control with this model, which is a shame considering the performance of this model.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with cutting-edge features, high suction power, and advanced mowing abilities. Its clever design permits customized and efficient cleaning while also saving time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry debris, including pet hair and dust. It also comes with a high-quality mop that makes hard floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. In addition, the X40 is extremely quiet during it's operation, producing only occasional bursts of sound when switching modes or performing self-maintenance tasks.
Another standout feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brushes, that allows it to reach hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture, such as tables and chairs' legs. It also lets the robot to get under furniture with a low profile which makes it a great choice for small apartments and condos with limited space. The side brush also automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. This is a nice feature that helps the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by repeated back-andforth movements.
In contrast to other robots that only focus on one thing, the X40 can do mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or in a series. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is user-friendly and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, see floor plans and mapping and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to clean and has numerous features that make it a perfect choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, and refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It can also detect when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you before it overflows, thus reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It has a number of features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature on its mops, uses two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles, and clean up spills and soiled spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is an excellent feature since it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a system has yet to be seen on other robot vacuum and mop models, and it could be a good method to keep your home hygienic for longer.
There's an impressive amount of options available that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and alter a variety of preferences. automatic vacuum make these settings or you can make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a number of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also offers many functions that are not available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks elegant and elegant. It's a little heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list, at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy either, and it feels sturdy and well-built. Mopping is well designed and the double-rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
