Best Robotic Mop and Vacuum Combos
Most robot vacuum-mop combos can be customized using an app that can save your home's maps, set cleaning schedules and choose mopping modes. You can also alter the suction power and fine-tune how much water and scrubbing action your mop uses.
A mapping feature aids your robot navigate through rooms and obstacles, while an obstacle avoidance feature prevents it from running into wires, furniture or other pet toys. These are essential features to have in my house, stuffed with toys scattered around.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the company's flagship vacuum and mop, is loaded with features. It can sweep and mop in one session, and it can even raise its mop pads and brushes to stop soft surfaces from becoming wet. It also has the ability to see and avoid obstacles, thanks to the ability to identify pets plants, a variety of small objects.
made a post is 6 000 pascals. This is more than any robot vacuum we have examined to date. It is also equipped with PreciSense LiDAR Navigation that tracks its location, preventing it from becoming stuck on objects.
The S8 Pro Ultra's mopping capabilities are also impressive. It can continuously apply pressure to the pad at over 6 Newtons to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has mop lifter which lifts the pad automatically when it changes between tile and laminate or hardwood flooring, as well as carpet or rugs, to avoid soaking soft surfaces.
The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing and self drying features. The pad can be cleaned and dried in the dock and the dust container is automatically empty and returned to it. This means you can just put it away and forget about it, and only need to replace the dust bag or refill the water tank on occasion.
All this is powered by a lithium-ion battery of 5,200mAh. I used it on its standard vac and mop settings for about 160 minutes before the S8 Pro Ultra started to get power hungry and then return to its base to recharge. This is within the range of the 180 minutes Roborock claims and is in line with other hybrids I've tried.
This is a very complete and robust product, with the only drawback being the fact that it's pricey. However, its sheer abundance of features makes it a very tempting alternative for anyone who wishes to ditch their old stick vacuum and mops. If you are able to justify the price, we highly recommend checking this one out.
2. Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium combination. The high price is justified by the robust features, such as a huge vacuuming capacity and two mop heads that rotate. It also comes with an app-enabled smart controller as well as powerful obstacle-avoidance technology.
The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuum and mop combos available with a suggested retail price of 999 euros. In my tests, it was able to perform well across all areas of the home, taking out 98.4 percent of the debris on all floor types and managing to lift hair that is long without tangling. The mops were also great in delivering outstanding cleaning results with less effort than mid-range models, thanks to their rotational motion as well as an incredibly strong cleaning solution.
The docking station is the primary selling feature of the L10S Ultra. It's multifunctional and modern. The dock emptys its dustbin into a dirt bag, refills its water tank to enable mopping and dry the mop pads for you. It is equipped with a real-time danger detection system, and its intelligent controls let you schedule periodic cleaning sessions.
The L10S Ultra does not offer superior carpet debris removal performance in comparison to the other hybrid mop I tested. The mops in the L10S Ultra aren't as effective in removing stubborn stains as the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
Despite the L10S Ultra's top-of-the-line features, it still requires regular maintenance. Its base station has to be cleaned and the water tank and dust bag must be emptied, cleaned and dried on a regular basis to avoid mildew and unpleasant odors. The mop pads sold separately will require changing regularly.
I would recommend the L10S Ultra to anyone with the money. For those who are on a smaller budget, I suggest considering a more rudimentary model that allows you to save money while enjoying hands-free cleaning at your home. Even if the L10S Ultra was the best robotic mop and vacuum combination you could buy, its high cost and frequent maintenance will make it seem more a want than need.
3. Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robot mop and vacuum that will remove dust and dirt on your hard floors, while taking care of wet mess, then you should look no further than the Eufy S1 Pro. This powerful mop and robovac combo packs an impressive suction power of 8,000 Pa, an impressively large battery that can be used for mopping and vacuuming and a top-of-the-line obstacles-avoiding. It also comes with a roller mop that cleans itself as it goes, which makes the S1 Pro stand out from other models that require users to return to their base station mid-clean in order to clean the mop's pad.
The S1 Pro uses a unique mopping system that is a major departure from the microfibre pads and spinning discs of other robots. The roller is almost the entire length of the robot and it receives a constant supply of clean, ozonated filtered water from the dock. The roller scrubs the floor while taking in dirt. Any dry debris is removed using the side brushes, or swept away into the front bumper. The S1 Pro is able to dump dirty mop water in its base station where it is sucked up by the tank's heater elements, and then empty into a larger storage container. The onboard tank holds a good amount of water and can handle a half dozen mopping sessions before running dry.
Like many robotic vacuums and mop sets, the S1 Pro is ready to roll out of the box. The S1 Pro needs to be refilled with clean water. This is easily done in the cleaning dock. If you'd like to use your own cleaner, you can add cleaning solution to dock. If you decide to choose to use this feature you'll need to purchase the brand-name cleaning solution from Eufy, which is more expensive than other robot brands that allow you to use your own cleaner of choice.
The S1 Pro performed well in the coverage and efficiency of navigation tests, just like the majority of robots. It was quick to map the area and navigated around furniture. It was stuck on carpets with thick piles a few times during my tests. However it could be improved by updating the software. The S1 Pro is a very powerful robot that can be bought at affordable prices.
4. Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock's entry-level mop and vacuum, and it still has some amazing features. The multi-function dock emptys the robot's dirtbag and replenishes its water tanks, while washing and sanitizing mop pads as they go. The mopping system is able to be able to clean a large area prior to returning to its dock. The vacuum's suction power is great for picking up pet hair and debris on carpets.
The software that runs this appliance is dense, offering a wide range of options to customize the cleaning process. You can clean manually all areas that are mapped by this device, or choose individual rooms, an expandable zone or a routine you've created. SmartPlan is one of the mopping options. It utilizes the sensors on the mop to map the area and determine the most efficient way to clean it.
Like all the Roborock models we've examined like all the Roborock models we've tested, the Qrevo performs well in our tests. Its navigation system works well in locating rooms quickly and cleaning them in a well-organized way. Its "Normal" pathing settings cover an area well, and doesn't leave any major gaps or missed areas. Reactive Tech's hazard avoidance works well too, but it's not as sophisticated as the color camera systems on the Qrevo Master and the S8 Pro Ultra. It is able to detect dangers like carpets with thick padding, but might not be able to identify smaller objects like electrical wires and rug tassels.
The machine has a major problem: it doesn't offer a mop after vacuuming. This could be a problem for those who vacuum frequently prior to using their robot. There's a good workaround: the app includes the option to "clean up" at the end of each session. You can use the mopping features of the vacuum to get rid of the last traces and dust that were left behind after vacuuming. This is a great feature that helps this robot to clean up a bit better than its cheaper competitors.
