Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more efficient, passing our tests of cleaning and tackling various floor types. Choose models that allow you to select between a variety of modes, self-empty and clean stairs.
Many of the best models are compatible with smartphones. Find an application that lets you save maps, create schedules, and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set up schedules and modify the S1's behaviour.
The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms and a medium-pile and a large rug. It easily drove close to walls without colliding with them, and was able to cross thresholds for rooms that are raised without problem, although it sometimes was unable to navigate down the stairs in one step. The S1 also did a fantastic job of cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved smoothly on its flat side against the floor, and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or rug.
After every mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and refills its water tank onboard with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock also provides a deep-cleaning solution to the water. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 mopping sessions, however it will differ dependent on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires regular maintenance to keep it working well. You'll need to periodically rinse out the tank that has been contaminated to avoid it becoming clogged. You will also need to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to prevent them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs All-in-one robotic vacuum and mop is an effective solution for your cleaning requirements. The robot vacuum has 8700Pa suction power, and comes with many unique features, including voice control and smart path planning that cleans around furniture and avoids obstacles. Its mopping capability is remarkable, with mops rotating that actually lift and scrub the floor as opposed to just moving the pad across it. The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station, as needed.
This robot combo has a simple interface that guides you through the process. It also comes with a hand vacuum which can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot cannot reach. There are two water tanks which are automatically filled or empty. It has a variety of settings that can be used to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, with a strong suction that effortlessly picks up all kinds of debris, including the smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, too, even though it does sometimes get hung up on the tiny rug or area mats I have in my home (which is something you can control by defining a virtual boundary within the app). The mopping feature is pretty impressive, and comes with a pair of spin mop pads that actually lift and scrub the floors, as opposed to simply dragging the pad across it. The mops can also be cleaned with hot water and dried in the base station whenever required. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was released earlier this year. But their new flagship model is packed with impressive features. It is a great cleaner and is simple to maintain. This makes it a contender for our top list of robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush will give you a thorough, customised clean.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, removing both fine and large debris. It is equally effective on hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our tests' dirtiest areas well, eliminating pet hairs that are tangled and other dirt. The sweeping performance of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that swings out in order to reach hard-to-reach areas, and a mop pad that extends along baseboards.
Its navigation is smart, navigating tiny spaces and negotiating stairs without stepping back. It can move from one area to another without having to reverse direction, which is a handy feature for larger homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than some competitors, however, and tends to leave a thick margin around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
The app features a simple, intuitive interface that should be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleaning tasks. You can also alter suction power, mop settings and view 2D and 3-D maps. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri, allowing you to keep an eye on its progress from anywhere. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely for real-time video monitoring. But, you'll require a stable Wi-Fi connection to operate it via the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
Robot vacuums are excellent in removing dirt and debris, but they're not able to get every bit of dust. This is why it's crucial to use your regular vacuum once a week, especially to clean dust from corners, on shelves, and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot designed specifically for this purpose. It is easy to connect to your WiFI network at home and it works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the company's more pricier S-series models, including the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It has a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but saves on cost by eliminating mopping functions and using a less expensive plastic body.
Despite losing the ability to mop floors, the Q5 still has the best vacuum and mopping performance we've seen from a robot in this price range. It has powerful 5500Pa suction and an auto-empty system so you don't have to empty the bin manually every time. It also has a clever app that lets you set your floor type and schedule cleanings, as well as an automatic water tank refill and wash system for hands-free operation.
The mops also stand out with their 2700Pa capacity to take on pet hair and dirt, on both carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 was one of the few robots that we tested did not show a problem with high-pile area carpets and rugs. However, it was able to not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't too surprising because it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the most quiet robovacs that we have tested. It also uses a unique system to map your home. This really helps it get into corners and tight spaces that other vacuums are unable to reach. This device also stores dust in a larger dustbin which means you need to empty it less often. automatic vacuum cleaner has washable filters which can further cut costs. This robot can detect carpets and increase suction if necessary. You can also mark areas you want to keep out of the app.
