Discussion:
In this experiment, Amplitude Modulation (AM) was performed on a carrier signal using a low-frequency
message signal. The objective was to observe the effect of amplitude modulation on the carrier and visualize
the resulting modulated signal.
1. The message signal, a low-frequency cosine wave with a frequency of 50 Hz, represents the
information we wish to transmit.
2. The carrier signal, a higher-frequency cosine wave (500 Hz), acts as the "carrier" for the message.
3. Amplitude modulation was applied by varying the carrier's amplitude according to the message signal,
resulting in the modulated signal. The modulated signal shows a pattern where the carrier’s amplitude
fluctuates in response to the message signal's variations.
The resulting modulated signal contains both the carrier and additional frequency components (sidebands)
corresponding to the message frequency. This is a characteristic feature of AM, where the original message is
embedded in the carrier.
Results:
The following results were observed from the plots:

1. The message signal shows a low-frequency oscillation with a frequency of 50 Hz.
2. The carrier signal oscillates at a much higher frequency (500 Hz), remaining constant in amplitude.
3. The modulated signal exhibits variations in amplitude, reflecting the modulating message signal. The
carrier wave’s amplitude changes periodically, corresponding to the message's amplitude.
These results demonstrate the successful application of amplitude modulation, showing how the message
signal can be encoded into the carrier and transmitted as a modulated signal
