These were predominantly neurological, sexual and anticholinergic effects. Several AEs that separated statistically between antidepressants and placebos nevertheless had moderate nocebo indices (≥0.5). For example, dizziness in SSRIs separated significantly from placebo (OR 1.50, 95%CI 1.13-1.99) but had a nocebo index of 0.67. LIMITATIONS This study relied on multiple RCTs with subtle design differences. CONCLUSIONS This study identified several AEs that are likely the physiological result of antidepressants and many that likely represent nocebo effects. These results should inform clinical decision making and discussions with patients. BACKGROUND With conflict driving millions of refugees away from their homes worldwide, there has been an increase in interest in the field of refugee trauma. However, while trauma and bereavement interlink, prior studies have focused on trauma and its related disorders (PTSD) and predictive factors. This paper reviewed up-to-date literature on the prevalence rates of prolonged grief disorder (PGD), its comorbidities, and associated risk factors among adult refugees. METHOD We systematically reviewed the literature using five databases (PsycINFO, PsycARTICLES, Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection, Academic Search Elite, and PubMed). The process of study selection was designed according to PRISMA guidelines. RESULTS The initial search generated 126 articles, of which 12 met the inclusion criteria. The pooled prevalence of PGD was 33.2% (95% CI 15.2-54.2%). Being an older refugee, traumatic and multiple losses implying the death of first-degree relatives appeared to be consistent risk factors for PGD, combined PTSD/PGD, depression, idioms of distress, and functional impairment. PGD, PTSD, and PTSD/PGD intersect on PTSD-intrusions and painful memories. LIMITATIONS All included studies adopted a cross-sectional design, thus limiting the understanding of causal pathways. CONCLUSIONS Our findings showed that the high prevalence of PGD and related comorbidities were influenced by the load of traumatic circumstances surrounding the death(s). The findings shed light on the current proposed grief-related diagnostic criteria . Psychopathological and transcultural aspects are discussed, and we provide concrete recommendations for improvements to future research in this field. The intrapersonal mechanism that drives and explains individual differences in motor development is still a relatively underexplored area of research. see more In this study, we set out to determine whether in teachers' perceptions, higher sport-learning capacity (SLC) is associated with the level of fundamental movement skills, and the changes therein over 24 weeks in 7-year-olds. We assessed 170 children from eight primary schools in the Netherlands twice (T1, T2) in 24 weeks, using a tool to assess their FMS in applied settings (Platvoet, Elferink-Gemser, & Visscher, 2018). The schools' eight PE teachers used a digital questionnaire to score their perceptions of children's SLC (Platvoet, Elferink-Gemser, Baker, & Visscher, 2015). Based on their SLC, each child was then placed in the low (n = 33), average (n = 107), or high SLC-group (n = 30). We used a MANOVA to examine group differences, with the four subtests as dependent variables. The results revealed that regardless of SLC-group, children improved their FMS over 24 weeks (F(4,163) = 10.22, p .05). In sum, we found an association between children's SLC and level of FMS and changes therein; this was especially pronounced in children with a lower SLC, who had a lower proficiency and improved less on the subtest moving sideways. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Abdominal Enhancement (AE) on the muscle activation of vastus medialis obliquus (VMO), vastus lateralis (VL) and rectus femoris (RF) muscle activation levels during eccentric, isometric and concentric phases of single leg raise (SLR), single leg wall squat (SLWS) and forward lunge (FL) exercises. Sixteen healthy individuals (Age 24.6 ± 1.7 years) were included in the study. Internal Obliques/Transversus Abdominis (IO/TA), VMO, RF and VL muscle activation levels were measured by surface EMG during the exercises in two conditions with and without AE. The abdominal drawing-in technique was used for AE. Repeated-measures analysis of variance was performed for statistical analysis. With AE, the average of IO/TA muscle activation level was 28.9%. VMO and VL muscle activation levels were significantly greater with AE during SLR (p = .02), SLWS (p .05). The results of this study showed that AE increased VMO and VL muscle activities during SLR, SLWS and FL exercises but the corresponding changes were small. Even if this is not enough for muscle strengthening, exercises with AE may be used to enhance knee joint stability while controlling lumbopelvic stability. The purpose of this study was to investigate weight-bearing knee joint kinematic and neuromuscular responses during lateral, posterior, rotational, and combination (simultaneous lateral, posterior, and rotational motions) perturbations and post-perturbations phases in 30° flexed-knee and straight-knee conditions. Thirteen healthy female athletes participated. Knee joint angles and muscle activity of vastus lateralis (VL), vastus medialis (VM), biceps femoris (BF), semitendinosus (ST), lateral gastrocnemius (LG), and medial gastrocnemius (MD) muscles were computed. Knee abducted during lateral perturbations, whereas it adducted during the other perturbations. It was internally rotated during flexed-knee and externally rotated during straight-knee perturbations and post-perturbations. VL and VM's mean and maximum activities during flexed-knee perturbations were greater than those of straight-knee condition. BF's mean activities were greater during flexed-knee perturbations compared with straight-knee condition, while its maximum activities observed during combination perturbations. ST's maximum activities during combination perturbations were greatest compared with the other perturbations. LG and MG's activities were greater during straight-knee conditions. Compared with the perturbation phase, the mean and maximum muscles' activities were significantly greater during post-perturbations. The time of onset of maximum muscle activity showed a distinctive pattern among the perturbations and phases. The perturbation direction is an important variable which induces individualized knee kinematic and neuromuscular response.
