Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
Robotic vacuum cleaners and mops are the best way to quickly clean up mess. The best robot vacuums and mop I tested had excellent navigation and mapping. They sucked up Cheerios and fake dog turds as well as tangled wires.
You can also schedule cleaning chores with an app and monitor their progress.
1. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV is the best robot mop and vacuum combination. It has the latest features. This high-end vacuum is fast and agile and picked up pet hair and human dander almost perfectly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also features a sleek interface that includes a mini map of your home and a few on-screen buttons for manual control.
The S8's Dirt Detection Technology allows it to alter the cleaning mode based on the level of dirt. It will clean its mopping pads more often when it encounters dust. Carpeted areas get the first priority when mopping with a damp mopping pad.
The mop roller comes with many other smart features, such as a dock that connects to your home plumbing system to clean and wash it without needing to refill the mop. With the built-in voice assistant in the S8 you can make use of voice commands to specify the cleaning mode of your room and provide precise control with just your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those who want a hands-free robot vacuum with mopping capabilities. It's part of a plethora of robot vacuums with combo features that also include mops but comes at a lower cost than most of the competition.
Like most robovacs, the Yeedi Cube requires a little bit of work in order to get started, including setting up an account on the app of the manufacturer and connecting it to your WiFi network. After that, the machine will begin to vacuum and mop effortlessly.
It is important to note that the mapping process takes a while and it could require a few attempts before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate image of your space. In addition, object detection can be hit or miss and it was able to skim over furniture and other obstacles, but was stuck on a loose tassel rug and had to flip its back to release itself. However, these aren't major issues and the Yeedi Cube is still a great option for those who need an all-in-one solution for cleaning.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete offers a three-in-1 home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping features an inclination that is like hand scrubbing which results in floors that are truly cleaned and not just cleaned. Its detachable stick-vacuum is a game changer that allows you to get into places that robot vacuums can't.
This model is essentially identical to the popular X2 Omni, but with an increased suction power of 8700Pa, and a few additional smart features. The upgraded RGBD sensor is able to learn your home's surroundings better and provide dynamic obstacle avoidance. And the smart app lets you adjust the settings of your choice that include scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo is also self-prepping, with both the robot vacuum and mop returning to their charging station after each task to wash their pads and empty their dust bins and place debris into a self-sealing bag. This helps keep the system clean and also prevents allergens from recirculating. Its battery life is long enough to cover large areas without requiring a recharge mid-clean.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the premium robot vacuum and mop models that are available, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for its price. It comes with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction power, a rotating brush for hard floors and carpets and a great obstacle-avoiding. It also features an innovative mopping system which utilizes a continuous roller doused with water to pull up dirt and deposit it in the dirty water tank.
Its navigation technology was effective and was able to navigate close to walls without crashing, and staying clear of stairs. However, it did struggle with finely engrained debris and didn't always get rid of raised thresholds for rooms. Its operating noise is also quite high, which suggests it could be less of a "set-and-forget" model than some.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, comes with a docking system that allows it to refill its clean water, empty the dust bin as well as dry and wash the mop, as well as empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance easier and allows the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors in line with a regular schedule. You can manage all of its functions via the Eufy app, which provides a clear overview and plenty of configurability.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum/mower is among the top mowers and vacuums available on the market. It offers impressive vacuuming and mopping results. The LIDAR sensors for mapping can identify furniture legs, obstacles and other obstacles with a reasonable accuracy. The app lets users fine-tune the map coverage, set up no-go zones, and even modify their cleaning preferences. The main roller brush of the Freo is also designed to prevent hair from wrapping around it, which is an issue for many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads spinning at 180 RPM and apply upward pressure of up to 12N. The mopping system is also equipped with intelligent carpet detection, lifting these pads upwards when they're close to soft surfaces to avoid contaminating them with.
The docking station acts as an automated maintenance center that automatically washes and dry the mops, and refills them with detergent and distillate water. The base station comes with an integrated dust-processing system that compacts dust and allows seven weeks of uninterrupted maintenance.
6. robot vacuum best is just a few hundred dollars more than the S8 and does an excellent job of keeping my office clean. It also has the ability to reach into the corners of my tiny apartment. It uses laser mapping and a camera to build an image of your space, so it knows which areas to avoid. In addition, unlike other vacuums that can mop it detects objects and obstructions that is able to avoid things like bowls for dogs and dog toys (but not poop).
It also comes with other notable features, like the self-emptying dustbin, a mop pad that's self-washing and adjustable for water temperature and a side-reaching sweeper brush that is able to reach places that other mops don't. You can also adjust the settings for each room and set up cleaning schedules.
It comes with the same multi-room smart mapping as the S8 and can distinguish between laminate and carpets with high-pile rugs. It can also avoid cleaning rooms that aren't filthy if you're trying to save time. It's a great option if you have a mix of flooring in your home and aren't looking to spend the extra money for a Roborock with advanced mapping features.
7. Q5 Pro
This robot is a great choice when you're looking for a versatile robot that can handle regular daily maintenance and touch-ups to messy water stains. It comes with a wide range of features that include a self-emptying dustbin as well as a dock that can be used to refill water, and customizable settings via the app. It's quite quiet and can maneuver between furniture legs and socks with ease. It's not able to pick up tangled rug tassels and its battery drains slightly faster than other models in our tests.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a powerful unit that comes with powerful suction and convenient automation in a sleek design. It didn't do as well in our mopping and mopping tests as the much pricier Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra however it did extremely well overall. It comes with a variety of cleaning options, ranging from the quiet mode with low power' for light debris to the incredibly powerful Turbo mode for carpeted areas. It will even automate the removal and reattachment of mop pads, and not leave your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great two-in-one robot vacuum and mop for those who live in cramped spaces. It's quick and quiet and it is able to navigate tight spaces with ease. It's also excellent in removing pet hair from carpets.
It's smaller than most of its competition however it doesn't sacrifice features. It has a decent amount of suction power and it is able to take photos of every object it comes across (i.e., chew toys or socks) and mark them as 'not found' in the app so that they don't get picked up during future cleanings. Its photos are encrypted, and not tied to you account.
It is capable of vaccuming but isn't as effective at mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes that you clip onto the bot's bottom, and it essentially drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal which have water reservoirs, and automatically wash and attach their mophead.
