As such, including engagement in the evaluation of students who are DHH may be important for some individuals to provide a better understanding of the daily challenges they experience at school. Where needs are identified, the support that students who are DHH receive should include a specific focus on engagement to assist with their successful inclusion.

New progress on next-generation sequencing technologies has put the exploration of synonymous mutations at the forefront of precision medicine. Several approaches have been proposed for predicting the deleterious synonymous mutations specifically, but their performance is limited by imbalance of the positive and negative samples. In this study, we firstly expanded the number of samples greatly from various data sources and compared six undersampling strategies to solve the problem of the imbalanced datasets. The results suggested that cluster centroid is the most effective scheme. Secondly, we presented a computational model, undersampling scheme based method for deleterious synonymous mutation (usDSM) prediction, using 14-dimensional biology features and random forest classifier to detect the deleterious synonymous mutation. The results on the test datasets indicated that the proposed usDSM model can attain superior performance in comparison with other state-of-the-art machine learning methods. Lastly, we found that the deep learning model did not play a substantial role in deleterious synonymous mutation prediction through a lot of experiments, although it achieves superior results in other fields. In conclusion, we hope our work will contribute to the future development of computational methods for a more accurate prediction of the deleterious effect of human synonymous mutation. For a single electrode, attention was more discriminable using high frequency (>30 Hz) LFP power than spikes, which is expected because LFP represents a population signal and therefore is expected to be less noisy than spikes. However, previous studies have shown that when multiple electrodes are used, spikes can outperform LFPs. Surprisingly, in our study, spikes did not outperform LFPs when discriminability was computed using multiple electrodes, even though the LFP activity was highly correlated across electrodes compared with spikes. These results constrain the spatial scale over which attention operates and highlight the usefulness of LFPs in studying attention.
Measurement of UK food insecurity has historically been inconsistent, making it difficult to understand trends. This study contributes by reporting and analysing data from a national survey conducted in line with UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) recommendations and standard methods, providing an internationally comparable pre-coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) snapshot of food insecurity.

Data came from a nationally representative 2019 UK sample (N=2000) surveyed by Ipsos-Mori. Prevalence of food insecurity was assessed using the UN FAO Food Insecurity Experience Scale. Logistic regression was used to model food insecurity in relation to geographic and socio-demographic variables.

Severe food insecurity was reported by 3% of the sample, an increase of 66.7% over the last directly comparable UK analysis (Gallup World Poll data from 2016 to 2018). Indication of some degree of food insecurity was reported by 14.2% of the sample and tended to be higher amongst younger age groups, those on lower incomes, and home renters (as opposed to owners).
