"Kebun Binatang Terbesar di Dunia"

1. Tiergarten Schönbrunn
Kebun binatang tertua di dunia ini di buka pada tahun 1752, ketika Kaisar Romawi Francis I memerintah.
Sebagian bangunan Tiergarten Schönbrunn rusak karena perang dunia, tetapi sisanya bangunan lainnya dari abad ke 17 masih bertahan sampai sekarang. Pada tahun 1990 an mereka melakukan renovasi dan memiliki lebih dari 500 spesies.
Tiergarten Schönbrunn merupakan anggota OZO yaitu untuk melestarikan keanekaragaman dan melestarikan habitat alami.
2. National Zoological Gardens of South Africa
Kebun binatang ini didirikan pada tahun 1899 dengan luas 210 hektar.
Kebun binatang ini adalah kebun binatang terbesar se-Afrika Selatan.
Kebun Binatang ini memiliki 3.117 spesimen dari 209 spesies mamalia 1.358 spesimen dari 202 spesies burung, 3.871 spesimen dari 190 spesies ikan, 388 spesimen dari 4 spesies invertebrata, 309 spesimen dari 93 spesies reptil, dan 44 spesimen dari 7 spesies amfibi.
Kebun Binatang ini merupakan fasilitas mitra Yayasan Riset Nasional Afrika, menawarkan beberapa program yang dirancang untuk memperkaya keberadaan hewan, termasuk sensorik, sosial dan rangsangan kognitif, serta program pemberian pelatihan seperti merangsang hewan berburu, mencari makan dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah.
