The only negative I discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to take off the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot passes will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and that can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app that is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and track the battery's life. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops to allow voice control with this model, which is a shame considering how well it performs otherwise.
