PEMBURUAN LIAR
Perburuan liar adalah pengambilan hewan dan tanaman liar secara ilegal dan bertentangan dengan peraturan konservasi serta manajemen kehidupan liar. Perburuan liar merupakan pelanggaran terhadap peraturan dan hukum perburuan.
Suatu perburuan bisa menjadi ilegal karena sebab-sebab berikut:
1. Perburuan tidak dilakukan pada musimnya; biasanya musim kawin dinyatakan sebagai musim tertutup ketika kehidupan liar dilindungi oleh hukum.
2. Pemburu tidak memiliki izin yang sah.
3. Pemburu secara ilegal menjual hewan, bagian tubuh hewan atau tanaman untuk memperoleh keuntungan.
4. Perburuan dilakukan di luar waktu yang diperbolehkan.
5. Pemburu mempergunakan senjata yang dilarang pada hewan yang diburu.
6. Hewan atau tanaman yang diburu berada dalam wilayah yang dibatasi.
7. Hak untuk memburu suuatu hewan diklaim oleh seseorang.
8. Jenis umpannya tidak manusiawi. (contohnya makanan yang tidak cocok untuk kesehatan hewan)
9. Menggunakan cara berburu yang dilarang (misalnya menggunakan lampu sorot untuk membuat rusa kebingungan, atau berburu dari kendaraan yang bergerak).
10. Hewan atau tanaman yang diburu dilindungi oleh hukum atau termasuk spesies yang terancam punah.
11. Hewan atau tanaman yang diburu telah ditandai untuk penelitian.
