Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet messes in one session and without the need to switch devices. They also can save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot must have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bins and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads using an appropriate dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer for its modest price and is among the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual can get you running in no time. You'll have a the complete dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that cleans up a mess and also vacuums well. The mops spin at fast speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.
For instance, you could opt for the robot to take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models cannot. The only drawback is that the robot is known to smash into walls and objects at a high speed. However looking at the history of cleaning on the app will reveal exactly what the robot accomplished, where it's going, and which obstacles he has run into or avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance jobs are required, such as emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can operate for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last for 136 minutes in standard mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. And you can see the entire cleaning information in the app, which is intuitively laid out and is easy to comprehend although we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a mop only vacuum and mop clean, when examining a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. robot vacuum best 's not like the model from last year it comes with an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pick up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could overlook.
This Roborock model, like the other two models I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it get around obstacles like walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and determine whether they're a wall or another surface. It then can alter its direction automatically and clean around the objects, without missing a step.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular style is attractive and it has only three physical buttons that include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying, and the bin is auto-filling.
The only drawback I could find with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. You can replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off to wash it manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number clever features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these using the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you plan cleanings and monitor the battery's life. You'll need to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its innovative design lets users to tailor and effectively clean while reducing time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry debris. It also has a high-quality mop that makes hard floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet when in operation and only occasionally bursting during modes changes or self-maintenance.
Another standout feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brushes, which lets it get into difficult-to-access corners and clean furniture such as table and chairs' legs. It also allows the robot to get under furniture that is low-profile making it an ideal option for smaller apartments and condos with tight spaces. The side brush automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots, which is a nice feature that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by repeated back-andforth movements.
In contrast to other robots that are limited to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, and reverse the process. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.
The app is intuitive and user-friendly, and the X40's smart features are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, look at floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to maintain and has many features that make it a great choice for busy families. The docking station will automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads and refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It can also detect if the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and notify you of the situation prior to it bursting.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It has a number of features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature of its mops, uses two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can remove pet hair and other small dirt particles - in addition to removing spills and wet spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This is an excellent feature because it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen on other robot mop and vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There's a plethora of options available which include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and alter a variety of preferences. These can be set via the app or buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and provides a variety of options for customising the cleaning routine, and there are a lot of features that other robots don't have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles, rather than using a manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. It is a little heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots listed on this list but it's not too heavy. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping system is well designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. They can even extend to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
