The purpose of this research was to reveal the role of miR-338-3p in paeonol-regulated ox-LDL-induced VEC progression. Cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) and flow cytometry were employed to determine cell viability and apoptosis, respectively. Moreover, the levels of IL-6 and IL-1β were analyzed usingt of ox-LDL on the development of mice VECs via modulating miR-338-3p/TET2 axis, providing a theoretical basis for the treatment of AS.
Due to the complex anatomical structure of bronchi and the resembling inner surfaces of airway lumina, bronchoscopic examinations require additional 3D navigational information to assist the physicians. A bronchoscopic navigation system provides the position of the endoscope in CT images with augmented anatomical information. To overcome the shortcomings of previous navigation systems, we propose using a technique known as visual simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) to improve bronchoscope tracking in navigation systems.
We propose an improved version of the visual SLAM algorithm and use it to estimate nt-specific bronchoscopic video as input. We improve the tracking procedure by adding more narrow criteria in feature matching to avoid mismatches. For validation, we collected several trials of bronchoscopic videos with a bronchoscope camera by exploring synthetic rubber bronchus phantoms. We simulated breath by adding periodic force to deform the phantom. We compared the camera positions from visu the bronchoscope camera pose during bronchoscopic navigation. Our proposed method tracked more frames and showed higher accuracy than the original technique did. Future work will include combining the tracking results with virtual bronchoscopy and validation with in vivo cases.

To study the immediate (within 30days) and short-term mortality (31-90days) associated with SBP and to determine the predictors of the same.
This prospective observational study was done among patients with liver cirrhosis who underwent paracentesis. Patient data included age, gender, co-morbidity, cirrhosis-related complications, model of end-stage liver disease (MELD), and Child-Turcotte-Pugh (CTP) scores. SBP was diagnosed based on ascitic fluid polymorphonuclear leukocyte count > 250/mm
with or without ascitic fluid culture positivity.
Of the 870 patients with cirrhosis and ascites registered during the study period, 610 fulfilled the criteria for inclusion. Altogether, 122 patients with SBP were identified 52 (42.6%) died, 40 (32.8%) survived without liver transplant, and 30 (24.6%) underwent liver transplantation within 3months. Thirty-two patients (26.2%) were blood culture posi tivefor bacteria and 7 (5.7%) demonstrable bacterialgrowth in ascitic fluid. Based on the traditional two herbivore-one herbaceous plant competition model, a new stoichiometric competition model, which incorporates the chemical heterogeneity of herbaceous plants, is formulated to investigate effects of the aboveground-belowground interactions and the chemical heterogeneity on the dynamics of the two herbivore-one herbaceous plant system. We perform theoretical analysis for the stability of boundary equilibria and show that a stable coexistent equilibrium is possible with two herbivores on one herbaceous plant. Moreover, numerical simulations reveal that various light intensity and nitrogen input can also allow all populations to coexist in periodic oscillations or irregularly cyclic oscillations. Our findings further indicate that when the nitrogen input is fixed, higher light intensity leads to a dominance of the lower N-demand herbivore, while the light intensity is fixed, higher nitrogen input leads to a dominance of the higher N-demand herbivore. Moderate levels of light and nutrient could promote the coexistence of two herbivores and herbaceous plant. This study also explains the functional mechanism for the decline of species diversity in response to nitrogen enrichment.
