Whole-body toxicity was seen for the 74 kBq dose. Conclusions Based on the results of the animal model, di-DOTA-α,ɛ-Lys-NT(6-13) is a useful imaging agent for NTSR-1-positive tumors when radiolabeled with 68Ga, and when radiolabeled with 225Ac, a potent therapeutic agent. To evaluate the prognosis after local thrombolysis compared to systemic thrombolysis in high-risk pulmonary embolism. Observational study during 13 years which included 37 patients with high-risk pulmonary embolism treated with local thrombolysis and 36 patients with systemic thrombolysis (streptokinase, 250 000 UI/30 minutes followed by 100 000 UI/h). Cardiogenic shock has totally remitted in the group with local thrombolysis (P = .002). The decrease in pressure gradient between right ventricle and right atrium was comparable in both groups in the acute period (the results being influenced by the higher in-hospital mortality after systemic thrombolysis), but significantly better in the next 24 months follow-up after in situ thrombolysis. Major and minor bleeding did not have significant differences. In hospital, mortality was significantly lower in the group with local thrombolysis (P = .003), but for the next 24 months follow-up, the survival was comparable in both groups. Local thrombolysis, during the hospitalization, was associated with lower mortality rate comparing with systemic thrombolysis. In the next 24 months follow-up, the evolution of residual pulmonary hypertension was significantly better after in situ thrombolysis.Through early and proactive laboratory testing of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the virus that causes novel coronavirus 2019, Taiwan has demonstrated an efficient and rapid control response to contain the outbreak. Two days after the World Health Organization announced the complete viral genome sequence, the national laboratory of the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control developed a specific real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (real-time RT-PCR) test for SARS-CoV-2. The national laboratory network was further strengthened through the recruitment of medical centers and regional hospitals distributed throughout most geographical regions of the country. Ultimately, a network of 60 laboratories with a capacity of 7,342 real-time RT-PCR tests per day was established. Between January 14 and August 5, 2020, a total of 158,772 tests were conducted, corresponding to 120,487 cases. Test results were obtained within 24 hours, enabling an efficient and rapid control response. Background The procancer effect of TEA domain transcription factor 4 (TEAD4) has been gradually discovered. However, its expression in esophageal cancer (EC) cells and its effect on proliferation and apoptosis have not been reported. In this study, we investigated the possible role of TEAD4 in EC cells. Methods TEAD4 messenger RNA and protein expression were assessed in EC cell lines by real-time quantitative-PCR and Western blot. Gene silencing approach was employed to investigate the potential role of TEAD4 in cellular growth, proliferation, migration, and invasion in EC cells. The interaction between TEAD4 and transcription factor 7 (TCF7) was verified by co-immunoprecipitation reaction. The cell apoptosis rates of KYSE-30 cells were detected by flow cytometry. Meanwhile, the expression of apoptosis-related proteins in KYSE-30 cells was detected by Western blot analysis. Results TEAD4 was significantly increased in EC cell lines, interference of TEAD4 inhibited EC cell viability, invasion, and migration, and promotes apoptosis. TCF7 was found when using STRING website to interact with TEAD4 proteins and TCF7 was significantly increased in EC and knockdown expression of TEAD4 hindered biological function of KYSE-30 cells and this effect was reversed by overexpression of TCF7. Conclusions The findings concluded that TEAD4 is highly expressed in EC cells and gene silencing of TEAD4 inhibits proliferation and promotes apoptosis of EC cells by regulating TCF7. Tegatrabetan These findings suggested that TEAD4 might be a novel therapeutic target for the prevention of EC.OBJECTIVE. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the potential benefit of spectral imaging, notably electron density imaging, in patients with suspected or confirmed coronavirus disease (COVID-19), by retrospectively reviewing the cases of four patients who each underwent two chest CT scans for confirmed COVID-19. CONCLUSION. The use of spectral CT with electron density imaging could improve the assessment of lung lesion extent in patients with early-stage COVID-19.OBJECTIVE. The virtual imaging trial is a unique framework that can greatly facilitate the assessment and optimization of imaging methods by emulating the imaging experiment using representative computational models of patients and validated imaging simulators. The purpose of this study was to show how virtual imaging trials can be adapted for imaging studies of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), enabling effective assessment and optimization of CT and radiography acquisitions and analysis tools for reliable imaging and management of COVID-19. MATERIALS AND METHODS. We developed the first computational models of patients with COVID-19 and as a proof of principle showed how they can be combined with imaging simulators for COVID-19 imaging studies. For the body habitus of the models, we used the 4D extended cardiac-torso (XCAT) model that was developed at Duke University. The morphologic features of COVID-19 abnormalities were segmented from 20 CT images of patients who had been confirmed to have COVID-19 and incorporated into XCAT models. Within a given disease area, the texture and material of the lung parenchyma in the XCAT were modified to match the properties observed in the clinical images. To show the utility, three developed COVID-19 computational phantoms were virtually imaged using a scanner-specific CT and radiography simulator. RESULTS. Subjectively, the simulated abnormalities were realistic in terms of shape and texture. Results showed that the contrast-to-noise ratios in the abnormal regions were 1.6, 3.0, and 3.6 for 5-, 25-, and 50-mAs images, respectively. CONCLUSION. The developed toolsets in this study provide the foundation for use of virtual imaging trials in effective assessment and optimization of CT and radiography acquisitions and analysis tools to help manage the COVID-19 pandemic.
