Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills, stains) in one time without the need to change devices. They can also save storage space compared to having two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you up and running with a clean, complete dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments and an intuitive app that lets you select the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You can, for example request the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and its smart navigation technology are superb and the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only issue is that the robot tends to crash into objects and walls at full speed. However looking at the history of cleaning in the app will reveal exactly what the robot completed, where it's traveling, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks are required, such as emptying the debris tray, and rinsing its dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. And you can see the full cleaning details in the app, which is intuitively laid out and is easy to comprehend, though we would like to be able to differentiate between a mop only vacuum and mop clean, when examining a cleaned area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. This year's model has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This improves the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that allows it to pull up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.
The Roborock model, just like the other two I tried, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture, and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by having a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they are an object that is a wall or a different surface. It can then change its direction automatically and clean the objects without missing a step.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek angular design is striking and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning process mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles up as a child-lock and a home-button that can bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin auto-refills.
The only drawback I could find in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. It is possible to change the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to remove the mount for manual washing. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, track battery life and component maintenance. You'll need to jump through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with its innovative features, top suction power and cutting-edge mowing capabilities. Its innovative design allows for customized and efficient cleaning while saving you time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry debris. It comes with a mop that is top quality that cleans hard floors without the need for a pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation, with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.
Another notable feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush, which allows it to get into hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture, such as tables and chairs' legs. It also lets the robot to reach under furniture with a low profile, making it a great option for smaller apartments and condos with limited space. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a great feature that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through repeated back-and-forth movements.
Unlike some other robots that only focus on one task, the X40 can perform both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or in a series. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is easy to use and understand, and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, alter modes, look at maps and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and inform you when it's finished.
best rated robot vacuum robotvacuummops is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features which make it a good choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin and wash mop pads before refilling them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also detect when the mop pad is filled and alert you before it overflows, thus reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive available, but it packs in many extra features that distinguish it from. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature on its mops, uses two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and dirt-stained spots.
The mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is a great feature as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.
There's an impressive amount of options available that include the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a variety of preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or there are direct buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a number of options for customising your cleaning routine. It also has a number of features that aren't available on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list but it's not a lot of weight. It is solid and well-built. Mopping is well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
