What is a bedside crib?

Our mom testers were able to move it from room to room and believed that it was a good size for a bedside cot, and not too big or small. They also loved the large storage basket, that is ideal for storing nappies or other bedding items.

This is a great option for parents who wish to sleep in a co-sleeping bed, but don't wish to share their bed. Or if one of the parents has mobility issues such as arthritis or back pain. Our mom testers love the convenience of being able to access their baby in the Iora, and that it has an optional reflux incline to aid in reducing gas.


Our moms are thrilled that the mattress adheres to NICE guidelines. These include placing the baby in the Moses basket or crib on its own without blankets, toys or pillows. The mattress is also sturdy and comfortable for the baby, and sheets are easily available. It's not as light as some of the cribs that are smaller on our list, so if you prefer something lighter and easier for you to move, choose another option.
