The equations proposed in this study provided predictions that were in good agreement with the test results. In addition, the test results show that there was an approximately linear relationship between the thermal conductivity and ultrasonic velocity of the CBA concrete. The properties and the behaviour of plaster mortars designed with Polyurethane Foam Waste (PFW) are studied in this investigation. A characterization of the mixtures is completed, in accordance with the technical specifications of European Norms. The incorporation of polyurethane waste foam can yield porous and lighter mortars, with better resistance to water-vapour permeability, although with weaker mechanical strength and higher levels of absorbency. Nevertheless, suitable mechanical strengths were achieved, resulting in a new material that is compliant with the requirements of the construction industry. The use of PFW in the the manufacture of gypsum mortars for construction reduces the consumption of natural resources and, at the same time, recovers an industrial waste that is otherwise difficult to recycle. Many mass media campaigns aimed at changing young people's health behavior air on digital platforms rather than on broadcast media (e.g., television), given the intended audience's preference for web-based communication. While research suggests self-reported ad recall correlates with exposure to television advertising, it remains unclear whether self-report measures are correlated with exposure to digital advertising. This study examined the association between an objective measure of digital ad exposure and self-reported recall of digital ads from the truth® tobacco prevention campaign. Digital ad tracking methodology was employed to identify members of an online panel (ages 18-34) who had been exposed to ads during their regular web browsing. Demographics of exposed participants were used to develop a matched control group of non-exposed panel members. Members of the Exposed group (n = 458) and matched Control participants (n = 506) were surveyed on recall of truth ads, media use, and demographics. Results indicated that Exposed participants had significantly higher odds of reporting ad recall compared to Control participants. With each additional ad exposure, the odds of self-reporting higher frequency of ad exposure increased by 8% (OR = 1.08, 95% CI = 1.01-1.16). Findings suggest self-reported measures of ad recall are a valid measure of campaign exposure in a digital media environment.A colloidal stability study of a nonaqueous silicon carbide suspension is of great significance for preparing special silicon carbide ceramics by colloidal processing. In this paper, three different chemical dispersants, which are amphiphilic, acidophilic, and alkaliphilic, are selected to compare their ability to stabilize nonaqueous slurries of silicon carbide. The analysis of the flow index factor is first used to estimate the colloidal stability of the suspensions. The results show that the addition of only 5 wt.% polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) forms a silicon carbide slurry with a low viscosity value of 17 mPas at 25 s-1. In addition, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS)measurements indicate that the PVP molecule is successfully adsorbed on the surface of silicon carbide. The different adsorption models are fitted, and the adsorption of PVP molecules on the surface of silicon carbide belongs to the Langmuir single-layer adsorption model. At the optimal PVP amount, the volume content of the suspension is as high as 22.27 vol.%, a Newtonian-like fluid still appears, and no agglomerate structure is formed in the system. After the volume content exceeds 22.27 vol.%, the flow index factor of the slurry begins to plummet, indicating that the slurry begins to transform from a Newtonian-like fluid to a shear-thinning fluid. The particles undergo inevitable agglomeration accompanied by the emergence of yield stress. Finally, a maximum solid loading of the system is predicted to be 46 vol.%, using the Krieger-Dougherty model.Magnetostrictive materials have a wide variety of applications due to their great capability as sensors and energy-harvesting devices. However, their brittleness inhibits their applications as magnetostrictive devices. Recently, we developed a continuous magnetostrictive Fe-Co-fiber-embedded epoxy matrix composite to increase the flexibility of the material. see more In this study, we fabricated random magnetostrictive Fe-Co short fiber/epoxy composite sheets. It was found that the discontinuous Fe-Co fiber composite sheet has the magnetostrictive properties along the orientation parallel to the length of the sheet. Finite element computations were also carried out using a coupled magneto-mechanical model, for the representative volume element (RVE) of unidirectional aligned magnetostrictive short fiber composites. A simple model of two-dimensional, randomly oriented, magnetostrictive short fiber composites was then proposed and the effective piezomagnetic coefficient was determined. It was shown that the present model is very accurate yet relatively simple to predict the piezomagnetic coefficient of magnetostrictive short fiber composites. This magnetostrictive composite sheet is expected to be used as a flexible smart material.A comprehensive review of the literature on service creativity revealed the necessity to expand the line of creativity-based research in the service-driven industry. It also called for the creation of a survey instrument that entails high-quality interpersonal relationships, psychological safety, and learning from failures, by including two creativity-related constructs, namely, creative self-efficacy and employees' creative work involvement to the model. The current study aimed; (a) to assess the validity and reliability of measurement models; and (b) to empirically examine the integrated proposed model consisting of salient constructs. A convenience sample of 341 airline employees responded to a self-report questionnaire that was developed using the steps of researchers' in a comprehensive literature review and refined based on the feedback provided by a panel of five professionals who had worked in airline firms. The resultant data were subjected to exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), second-order CFA, and structural equation modeling (SEM) using version 23.
