Nevertheless, these objective measures suggest a need to incorporate new clinical measures to provide a more comprehensive assessment of the listener's speech understanding ability, but more work is needed to determine the most efficacious measure for clinical use.
Behavioral change is the only prevention against the COVID-19 pandemic until vaccines become available. This is the first study to examine the most persuasive message type in terms of narrator difference in encouraging people to stay at home during the COVID-19 pandemic and social lockdown.
Participants (n = 1,980) were randomly assigned to five intervention messages (from a governor, a public health expert, a physician, a patient, and a resident of an outbreak area) and a control message. Intention to stay at home before and after reading messages was assessed. A one-way ANOVA with Tukey's or Games-Howell test was conducted.
Compared with other messages, the message from a physician significantly increased participants' intention to stay at home in areas with high numbers of people infected (versus a governor, p = .002; an expert, p = .023; a resident, p = .004).
The message from a physician-which conveyed the crisis of overwhelmed hospitals and consequent risk of people being unable to receive treatment-increased the intent to stay at home the most.
Health professionals and media operatives may be able to encourage people to stay at home by disseminating the physicians' messages through media and the internet.

In 2016, the European Society of Gynecology Oncology (ESGO) published indicators defining the quality of surgical management of advanced ovarian cancer. The objective of the study was to assess the quality of ovarian cancer patient management in regional centers authorized for gynecological cancer, based on the ESGO list of quality indicators.
A multicenter retrospective observational cohort study was conducted from January 1 to June 30, 2016. The following quality indicators 1 "rate of complete surgical resection", 4 "center participating in clinical trials in gynecologic oncology", 5 "treatment planned and reviewed at a multidisciplinary team meeting", 6 "required preoperative workup", 8 "minimum required elements in operative reports" and 9 "minimum required elements in pathology reports" were selected.
91 patients were evaluated in 16 centers. The required preoperative workup was incomplete in 25% of cases. Treatment was not planned at a multidisciplinary team meeting for 24%. An evaluation score of peritoneal involvement was included in 40% of the operative reports and the quality of surgical resection was reported in 72%. Primary surgery was most often performed in a peripheral hospital (48%), interval surgery in a private center (37%), and closure surgery in a regional cancer center (43%). No institution respected the six quality indicators evaluated. One regional cancer center respected five items and two private centers did not respect any.
Whilst the ESGO quality indicators provide objective, validated and evaluable support which centers can use to improve quality of care, we observed heterogeneous practices amongst the centers evaluated.

Immune-related genes are associated with the prognosis of colorectal cancer (CRC) patients. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of an immune-related gene signature (IRGS) in predicting the prognosis of early-stage CRC patients.
In total, 309 CRC patients were selected for the identification of prognostic IRGS using the CIT/GSE39582 microarray dataset. Five independent datasets including 1587 CRC patients were divided into a training cohort (n=566) and two validation cohorts (n=624 in validation-1 and n=397 in meta-validation). Prognostic analyses were performed to test the predictive value of IRGS.
A prognostic IRGS that included 23 immune-related genes was constructed and significantly stratified patients into immune low-vs. high-risk groups in terms of disease-free survival using patients with early-stage disease (I or II) in the training cohort. 3-Methyladenine Similarly, a higher IRGS was correlated with significantly worse prognosis of early-stage patients in validation-1 and meta-validation cohorts. Compared with Oncotype DX colon, we found that IRGS exhibited an improved survival correlation in the training cohort. After integration with clinical characteristics, IRGS remained as an independent prognostic factor in multivariate analysis. Furthermore, IRGS-stratified immune low-risk group patients gained less benefit from adjuvant chemotherapy in the validation-1 cohort. Several biological processes, including inflammatory response, were enriched among genes in identified the immune high-risk group. Consistent with this finding, the IRGS-identified immune high-risk group exhibited significantly increased immune and stromal cell infiltration.
The proposed prognostic IRGS is a promising system for estimating DFS of colorectal cancer patients, especially those with early-stage disease.

Plant-based beverages do not have a standard of identity, and so their nutritional composition can vary from one brand to another, even within the same category. The aim of the present narrative review was to produce a technical opinion to serve as a frame of reference for sustaining the recommendation of soy plant-based beverages. Nutrition and gastroenterology experts that belong to the Asociación Mexicana de Gastroenterología jointly commented on and analyzed themes on plant-based beverages, and on soy drinks in particular, including their nutritional characteristics, consumption in children, and potential growth and development alterations, as well as soy drink consumption in adults and its association with gastrointestinal alterations and other conditions. Plant-based beverages, including those made from soy, are not a replacement for breastmilk or breastmilk substitutes.
