This study aims to determine the benefits, risks, awareness, cultural factors, and sustainability, allied to social networking (SN) use in the higher education (HE) sector in Middle Eastern countries, namely Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. Using an online survey, 1180 complete responses were collected and analyzed using the statistical confirmatory factor analysis method. The use of SN in the Middle Eastern HE sector has the capacity to promote and motivate students to acquire professional and personal skills for their studies and future workplace; however, the use of SN by tertiary students is also associated with several risks isolation, depression, privacy, and security. Furthermore, culture is influenced by using SN use, since some countries shifted from one dimension to another based on Hofstede's cultural framework. The study new findings are based on a sample at a specific point in time within a culture. The study findings encourage academics to include SN in unit activities and assessments to reap the benefits of SN, while taking steps to mitigate any risks that SN poses to students. Although other studies in the Middle East examined the use of Learning Management System and Facebook in, HE as a means of engaging students in discussions and communications, however, this study contributes a better understanding of the benefits and risks, awareness, culture, and sustainability, associated with the use of SN in the HE sector in the Middle East. Finally, the paper concludes with an acknowledgment of the study limitations and suggestions for future research.This work presents the study of a series of electrocyclic reactions with the main aim of obtaining new insights into the reaction process along IRCs. FermFooDb (https//webs.iiitd.edu.in/raghava/fermfoodb/) is a manually curated database of bioactive peptides derived from wide range of foods that maintain comprehensive information about peptides and process of fermentation. This database comprises of 2205 entries with following major fields, peptide sequence, Mass and IC50, food source, functional activity, fermentation conditions, starter culture, testing conditions of sequences in vitro or in vivo, type of model and method of analysis. The bioactive peptides in our database have wide range of therapeutic potentials that includes antihypertensive, ACE-inhibitory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, immunomodulatory and cholesterol lowering peptides. These bioactive peptides were derived from different types of fermented foods that include milk, cheese, yogurt, wheat and rice. Numerous, web-based tools have been integrated to retrieve data, peptide mapping of proteins, similarity search and multiple-sequence alignment. This database will be useful for the food industry and researchers to explore full therapeutic potential of fermented foods from specific cultures.In aeronautic sectors, lightweight materials are very demanded in order to reduce fuel consumption. Therefore, thinning drawn cups are very recommended. Reduction of thickness led to many geometrical and physical failures that damage the final product. Since most lightweight materials had a high level of anisotropic, the presence of earrings is one of the most significant failures faced in the deep drawing process. Many functions were developed in order to control these undesirable earrings in sheet metal parts. In this paper, a simulation of a 3D cylindrical deep drawing model for AA1050 and AA1100 aluminum alloys using ABAQUS finite element software was achieved. Prediction of earing phenomenon in deep drawing process was carried out. Moreover, the impact of punch corner radius and die shoulder radius on flange earrings was analyzed and a reduction of the percentage of earring heights was investigated.Hyperbilirubinemia in the newborn occurs more frequently in Indonesia. Therefore, it is important that pediatric residents in Indonesia acquire adequate knowledge of hyperbilirubinemia management. This study aims to determine the pediatric residents' knowledge on hyperbilirubinemia management, whether they follow recommended guidelines, and whether differences exist between five large Indonesian teaching hospitals. We handed out a 25-question questionnaire on hyperbilirubinemia management to pediatric residents at five teaching hospitals. A total of 250 questionnaires were filled in completely, ranging from 14 to 113 respondents per hospital. Approximately 76% of the respondents used the Kramer score to recognize neonatal jaundice. Twenty-four percent correctly plotted the total serum bilirubin levels (TSB) on the phototherapy (PT) nomograms provided by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) for full-term and nearly full-term infants. Regarding preterm infants less then 35 weeks' gestational age, 66% of the respondents plotted TSB levels on the AAP nomogram, although this nomogram doesn't apply to this category of infants. Seventy percent of residents knew when to perform an exchange transfusion whereas 27% used a fixed bilirubin cut-off value of 20 mg/dL. Besides PT, 25% reported using additional pharmaceutical treatments, included albumin, phenobarbitone, ursodeoxycholic acid and immunoglobulins, while 47% of the respondents used sunlight therapy, as alternative treatment. The limited knowledge of the pediatric residents could be one factor for the higher incidence of severe hyperbilirubinemia and its sequelae. The limited knowledge of the residents raises doubts about the knowledge of the supervisors and the training of the residents since pediatric residents receive training from their supervisors.
