InstaView is available in different sizes and configurations. The LFXC24796D French door model, for example, has this feature. It has a stunning design that will make your guests "ooh" or "aah". There are some quirks. When we tested this fridge, we noticed the Door-in-Door compartment was warm throughout the day, which is unfortunate since it's such a fascinating idea.

It's also not the most efficient fridge in terms of energy consumption. The InstaView panel occupies an immense amount of space. We would also like to see more smart features on this model and smaller dimensions.

SmartThinQ

LG Smart ThinQ is the brand's vision for an intelligent home. LG's mission is to create products that are always on and ambient, that know what you need before you need it. The company is using its expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing to develop an intelligent system that can understand what you need, how you'll use it and then act for you.

The refrigerator is a major step in this direction. The LFX31995ST is a French door refrigerator with 20.7 cubic feet of space for the refrigerator and 10 cubic feet of freezer space. It has a touchscreen that can control the fridge, and an app called Food Manager. This app keeps track of your pantry items and makes replacements if necessary. It can also send recipes to the oven for pre-heating it. There's a Health Manager as well, which calculates your BMI and offers recipes to help you lose or gain weight. It can send instructions to an exercise tracker and a smart scale.

Another feature is Proactive customer service, which uses AI to track appliance usage and identify problems before they become serious. For instance, if it detects that your refrigerator isn't receiving enough power to remain cold, it will notify to you and advise you to check the ice maker.

The app can be used to control many other LG appliances including robotic vacuum cleaners. It can even turn on the lights and set the scene with your voice. You can also connect your devices to your TV using Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. You can then manage your smart home via a single button press or voice command.

The LG ThinQ(tm) is an app that is free, features smart Wi-Fi connectivity that allows you to monitor and control your refrigerator remotely. You will also receive notifications when you leave the fridge door unlocked and set the temperature of the freezer and the ice. Some models can even respond to voice commands from Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant.
