In this study, we generated the complete mitochondrial genome of Rhinolophus pusillus using next-generation sequencing. The mitochondrial genome was 16,833 bp in length and contained 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA, 2 rRNA, and a non-coding control region. Phylogenetic analyses supported the taxonomic status of Rhinolophus pusillus among genus Rhinolophus, and the grouping with the sister taxon R. monoceros, which was highly restricted to Taiwan Island.The complete mitochondrial genome of Hemerobius japonicus Nakahara, 1915 was sequenced in this study. The complete mitochondrial genome is a typical double-stranded circular molecule of 18,585 bp (GenBank accession number MN852445), containing 37 typical animal mitochondrial gene and an A + T-rich region. The gene order is identical to that of the putative ancestral arrangement of insects and other lacewings. 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs) possessed common triplet initiation codons ATN except ND1 possessed TTG and mostly terminated with TAN codons except for ND5 and ND4 with a single T residue adjacent to a downstream tRNA gene. All of the 22 tRNAs, ranging from 63 to 72 bp, can be folded into classic clover-leaf secondary structure except for tRNASer(AGN) , in which the dihydrouridine (DHU) arm did not form a stable stem-loop structure. The control region is 1416 bp long with an A + T content of 90.3%. In the sampled families of Neuroptera, each family showed a monophyletic cluster and Polystoechotidae + Rapismatidae, Osmylidae + the remaining families, Hemerobiidae + (Chrysopidae + (Polystoechotidae + Rapismatidae)) are recovered in phylogenetic analyses with high supports.The mitochondrial genome of Apis mellifera ruttneri consisted of 13 protein-coding genes, two rRNAs, 22 tRNAs, an AT-rich control region, and was 16,577 bp long. The phylogenetic analyses suggested that A. m. ruttneri was closely related to two North African subspecies A. m. sahariensis and A. m. intermissa.The mitochondrial genome of a worker Apis mellifera jemenitica was 16,623 bp. Phylogenetic analysis suggested that C. anlungensisis grouped with C. leptophylla, C. ptilophylla, C. pubicosta, C. grandibracteata and C. sinensis.The complete mitochondrial genome of Microplitis pallidipes contains 15931 bp, with an A + T content of 86.5% and consists of 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, two ribosomal RNA genes, and a control region (GenBank accession no. MN892396). All of the 22 tRNA genes displayed an usual clover-leaf structure. Gene rearrangement events occurred in this species, there are eight tRNA genes changed their positions or/and directions. 13 PCGs started with ATN. Ten PCGs used the typical stop codon 'TAA' and 'TAG', three PCGs terminated with incomplete stop codons (TA). Phylogenetic analyses within the microgastroid complex were performed based on mitochondrial protein-coding genes.The long-armed scarab Cheirotonus gestroi is an endangered large insect in southwestern China and neighboring countries. Herein, we present the first complete mitochondrial genome of C. gestroi. The 16,899 bp long circular genome consists of 2 ribosomal RNA genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, 13 protein-coding genes, and a non-coding control region. Phylogenetic analysis showed that C. gestroi shared the closest evolutionary relationship with C. jansoni and that Scarabaeidae and Lucanidae were correctly identified within superfamily Scarabaeoidea. Phylogenetic analysis confirmed that the position of S. glabra lay within the order Chloranthales instead of Piperales simply according to classical morphological taxonomy.Sparassis crispa, also known as cauliflower mushroom, is a widely used medicinal mushroom in traditional Chinese medicine due to the presence of bioactive substances with pharmacological activity. Here, we report a complete mitochondrial genome sequence of S. crispa consisting of 139,253 bp containing 47 genes including 15 protein-coding genes, 27 transfer RNA, and 5 ribosomal RNA genes obtained from 40.406 Mb genome containing 18,917 predicted contigs using raw data of next-generation sequencing having 85.4% Q30. The overall base composition of S. crispa was 26.47% G-C and 73.53% A-T.
